The Venedlia system was a star system located in the Instrop sector, a part of the galactic regions known as the Outer Rim Territories[1] and the Slice.[2] It was home to the creatures known as Venedlian sandmoles.[3][4]
Behind the scenes
The Venedlia system was first mentioned in the 2009 reference book The Essential Atlas, written by Jason Fry and Daniel Wallace. The book placed the system in grid square M-20[2] and the StarWars.com Online Companion to the work initially further established it as part of the Minos Cluster, while a "Vendlia" system was placed in grid square S-16 as part of the Instrop sector.[1] However, the "Vendlia" entry was later judged to have been erroneous,[5] and the two entries were merged, with the Venedlia system instead being placed in the Instrop sector in grid square S-16.[1]

This article treats the Venedlia system as the location of one such homeworld with regard to the Venedlian sandmole species.
