A vector plate was a starship component constructed from metal. Hapan Miy'tari Scout starfighters were fitted with vector plates. In 45 ABY, a Miy'tari Scout operated by the Jedi Knights Ben Skywalker and Tahiri Veila and the R9-series astromech droid Ninette came under heavy fire from Mandalorian-operated Bes'uliik fighters in the Chiloon Rift nebula, causing the vessel's port-side vector plate to warp and melt.[1]
