- «It's the Vector One navigators who have tattoos. We fly today with a Pathfinder.»
- ―A Garwian officer, to Thalias
Vector One was one of the group of navigators who worked with the Navigators' Guild in the Unknown Regions and could be identified by tattoos on their faces.[1] In 19 BBY,[2] the Chiss Senior Captain Mitth'raw'nuruodo, core name "Thrawn," and the Caregiver Mitth'ali'astov ("Thalias") journeyed to the Vak Combine nation's capital planet of Primea—under the assumed identities of an Artistic Master and his companion—aboard a Garwian diplomatic ship. Thalias traveled to the bridge of the vessel, where she told a Garwian officer she was sent by her master to memorize the tattoos on the navigators' face. The Garwian officer replied that her master was ill-informed, as only the Vector One navigators had tattoos, while the vessel they occupied traveled with a Pathfinder.[1]
Behind the scenes
