Vartik trees were a type of tree that produced sap.[1] In 44 ABY,[2] Klatooinian detention officer Abara Mun agreed to turn over Jedi Knight Ben Skywalker, Sith Vestara Khai, and former Jedi Candidate Dyon Stadd into Jedi Master Luke Skywalker's custody. As she let them leave, she commented that the planet Klatooine's security forces were not equipped to hold users of the Force, comparing their facilities to a flimsi box sealed with vartik tree sap.[1]
