Vaporers were Clawdite warriors on their homeplanet of Zolan. For the most part, Clawdite society was held together as an orderly anarchy, with vaporers attracting followers under a multitude of different banners. After the Battle of Endor, the feud between the Clawdites and the Zolanders came to a head. The New Republic sent diplomats to the planet to negotiate a settlement between the warring sides. However, with the assassination of the New Republic's chief negotiator by a Zolander rabble-rouser, civil war broke out as the most powerful vaporers declared war against their Zolander brothers. The vaporer Renneyn spearheaded attacks that led to Clawdite control of three-quarters of the planet, including Zolan's capital city.[1]
