The Valarian Outpost was an outpost on the Outer Rim world of Tatooine used by the criminal organization known as the Valarian Syndicate during the time of the Galactic Civil War. It was located a short distance northwest of Jabba's Palace.[1] In 1 ABY,[2] Reelo Baruk hired a spacer to attack the Valarians in their camp because of the rivalry between Hutt crime lord Jabba Desilijic Tiure and Lady Valarian.[1]

The Valarian Outpost was a location in the 2003 video game Star Wars Galaxies, a massively multiplayer online roleplaying game developed by Sony Online Entertainment and published by LucasArts,[1] prior to its closure on December 15, 2011.[3] The Valarian Outpost was added to the game as part of the revamped "Jabba's Theme Park,"[1] released with the "Publish 25," a.k.a. the "New Game Enhancements," on November 15, 2005.[4]

Lastly, while Chapter 11: "The Battle of Echo Base" features the Battle of Hoth—dated to 3 ABY by The New Essential Chronology—the developers have stated that the portrayal of that battle in the game is intentionally anachronistic. Therefore, the events of Star Wars Galaxies must span from 0 ABY to around 1 ABY.
