Vadoorian sniffer rats were a species of presumably rodentian mammals. A Hutt briefly mentioned them after rescuing Jaina Solo and Jagged Fel from an anonymous group seeking out a Jedi Holocron as a comparison.
Sometimes used as an analogy, the sniffer rats were presumably used to search out items.
