The Neuro-Saav Technologies VXI-3 electrotelescope was a model of electrotelescope. A small unit, it weighed around thirty-five kilograms and could be moved by using an inbuilt repulsorlift generator. Nearly a dozen VXI-3 units were used by the Rebel Alliance to provide an early-warning system for Echo Base on Hoth. They surrounded the base and were strategically placed at observation posts. The system failed to detect an Imperial probe droid, as it was hampered by having to deal with all of the asteroid and comet activity in the Hoth system.[1]
