VX-2411

VX-2411, nicknamed "Ringer" by the youngling Anakin Skywalker, was a droid that functioned as a podracer during the Republic Era. The droid previously served as a conductor unit for trains on the planet Vandor before being modified to work on a podracer. While racing in the Varl Circuit on the third day on a competition, Ringer sacrificed himself to allow Skywalker and other podracers to escape from oncoming battle droids. Ringer was later repaired by Anzellan droidsmiths and continued to work on the trains on Vandor.^[2]
