The VES-700 pulse rifle was a model of pulse rifle manufactured by Corondexx. Equipped with a stun setting, the rifles fired a rapid series of micro-blasts across a wide blast-pattern at a medium range and were particularly effective in closed spaces, such as starship corridors. As such, the weapon could be found on board many light freighters, and was also often used by riot police and bounty hunters. During the Galactic Civil War the weapon cost 950 credits and was hard to find for purchase.[1]
Behind the scenes
In the current Star Wars canon, the VES-700 pulse rifle was mentioned in the 2019 Star Wars Roleplaying supplement Gadgets and Gear, which was published by Fantasy Flight Games.[1] The rifle originated in the Star Wars Legends continuity, where it was first mentioned in Galaxy Guide 10: Bounty Hunters, a 1994 supplement written by Rick D. Stuart for West End Games' Star Wars: Edge of the Empire.[2]
