The V-71 Ridge Piranha was a podracer engine manufactured by Hummel Carbine. Cy Yunga's podracer used two of these engines, which by 32 BBY found their way into a junkyard on the Outer Rim planet Tatooine owned by the Toydarian merchant Watto.
Behind the scenes
This engine first appeared, unnamed, in the Star Wars: Episode I Racer video game before being named in a video commercial for Watto's shop found on the Episode I Insider's Guide CD-ROM.
