A V-3 was a type of tool modification that was compatible with ZX1-capacitors.[1] In 34 ABY,[2] to maintain his disguise as a First Order technician while aboard the supertanker fuel depot Titan during a mission to steal a trans-binary deflector, Resistance member Kazuda Xiono enthusiastically claimed to two stormtroopers that his ZX1-capacitor had a V-3 attachment, successfully convincing them he was a technician.[1]

V-3 was mentioned in "Station to Station,"[1] the eleventh episode of the second season of the animated television series Star Wars Resistance, which aired on December 15, 2019.[3]
