What I meant about Force Unleashed...
I realise that the game has yet to come out yet, but what I meant with the tag and with what I said in talk I still mean. Really, is there any excuse for this page to resemble a fan site? This is part of a major Lucas Arts multimedia project and will consequentially get lots of hits, but the way it's written is shocking.
Something can be done about that, surely? I'd like to, but I don't know enough about it. Katana Geldar 06:28, 22 June 2008 (UTC)
- I understand that, but you're probably in a much better position to clean up the article than I am as you made a lot of the major efforts. Getting rid of the lists and putting it in prose wou;d be a good first step. I have a degree in English and I'm studying to be a teacher, bad text really gets my rancor. Re:
In general, most of our book articles just use how it's spelled in the book, i.e. Mon Calamari instead of Dac. However, if you'd like to make it easier for those of us who don't like to see redirects, it's preferable that you pipe the links. For example, Tyria Sarkin. (Look at the code). I would link to that article in that way in a book written before she's married. Hope that helps. Atarumaster88 20px (Talk page) 13:30, 15 July 2008 (UTC)

Re:Editcount
- I just ran an edit count for you and got 527 on Wookieepedia and 527 on all wikis. I'm not sure what the discrepancy was, but I can't get it to reproduce. On the all wikis issue, other users (particularly admins) are sometimes on other wikis, so their edits from there + their Wookieepedia edits are lumped together on the edit count page. Nas Choka
It's still a work in progress, which is why there are only a few pictures in it at the moment. I'm sorry you think the summary is too long, but Nas Choka does a rather large amount in the NJO, as I've found out writing this article. Your GAN activity
Wookieepedia appreciates your reviews to nominations on the GAN page, but your objections requesting a nominator to make minute changes, such as adding an apostrophe, fixing a spelling error, or changing a word from "was" to "is" are all things that could be handled by you in less time than it takes to actually type out that objection. Please go in and make these changes yourself rather than leaving an extensive list of these items on the GAN page. And, it would be appreciated if when you vote for a nom, you remember to update the vote count accordingly. Thank you. Toprawa and Ralltiir 21:30, 19 September 2008 (UTC)

My bad
You're quick, you beat me to undoing my dubious and false edit of Ludo Kresh's Tomb by seconds. It was mainly a test for me to see how to actually do things on the site, being new to this sort of thing, and I'd already planned to undo it. As for deleting the talk page, there was nothing there before I put something on, and what I put on was a. not useful and b. put on in the wrong format. I see now there's the Jundland Wastes sandbox for that exact purpose, so basically my bad. I'll try and be a little less noobish, and maybe even do some real work on the Tomb page, which could do with some pretty major extension. Jon Ralen 23:13, 28 September 2008 (UTC)

- When was its first known use/discovery?
- I couldn’t find anything on this unfortunately.
- Are there any Force-based organisations that used it other than the Jedi?
- I added the Matukai as users of this ability.
- An idea of how much mental focus was required to use/master it. And also any other philosphy on its use.
- The only thing I could find on this was Luke Skywalker saying that he didn’t feel in control of the technique and that it was rather the Force acting through him.
- Another quote, if possible.
- I added one what do you think? :)
- Force alignment is missing. KotOR identifies it as being light side I think. Also, are there any discrepencies with other canon eg. dark siders using the ability?
- It is a core Force power in the sources and I have down both Jedi and Sith using it.
- Was there anything that could be done to effectvely counteract/cancel the effects of Force Speed? Another Force power, perhaps?
- No information on this, but I thought really the only thing to counteract Force speed is Force speed so they could keep up…but that’s my theory so I don’t want to add it.
- When was its first known use/discovery?
- Any further suggestions for expansion/improvement would be great :) once again thanks so much for all your help :). Grunny 04:32, 22 December 2008 (UTC)

GAN review
Hey, Soresu. I couldn't help but notice your comment on the Darth Nihilus GAN concerning that you didn't review the article's BTS because you don't consider yourself capable enough. The BTS is a significant portion of that article, and a review of the nomination, and, indeed, any nomination, isn't complete until you review the whole article. I would recommend at least trying your hand at reviewing it to the best of your abilities, and also to perhaps consider abstaining from voting if you recognize you haven't completely reviewed something. Toprawa and Ralltiir 01:30, 17 January 2009 (UTC)
- If you have yet to read through the article's BTS, I would request as a matter of formality that you refrain from voting, because it compromises the review system. Anyone can just vote. I would ask that you please read through Behind the scenes sections if you're going to actively review. Toprawa and Ralltiir 04:00, 17 January 2009 (UTC)
- Done. SoresuMakashi(Everything I tell you is a lie) 21:56, 14 February 2009 (UTC)
Re: Bai-Hei
Haha, now that you mention it, it doesn't make that much sense. It's more of a stylistic choice, as light and dark side are represented as blue and red in KOTOR. Nice to see another Chinese person online, or at least someone who can read it, I don't run into that many of us at all! JethLordMaster (Talk) 02:21, 18 January 2009 (UTC)
Well you got me thinking about it, and I decided to find a new (and imo better) name for my fanfic order. Xia (俠), which fits with very well I think. Thanks for pointing out the rather odd flaw in my logic btw. JethLordMaster (Talk) 02:34, 18 January 2009 (UTC)
Don't worry about it, I know what you meant, I've been debating over the name for a while anyway. Actually, contrary to what you've said, I've actually run into a few people were of the opinion it was a rather stupid name. :P
Btw, on a completely separate point, who's that Mandalorian joke on your page from again? I know I've seen it somewhere in KOTOR and it's killing trying to remember who said it. JethLordMaster (Talk) 02:44, 18 January 2009 (UTC)

Re: Spelunker probe droid
Hey Soresu. Sure, no problem, I'll take a look at the article today. I just have to finish up a couple of things and then I'll go through it. You should most definitely take it to FAN once it passes GAN. In my experience, your article will only get longer through the GAN process. Don't be nervous, and don't take any objections personally. Everything will be fine. And I wanted to say congratulations on your WotM nom as well. Cylka-talk- 10:13, 2 February 2009 (UTC)
- During the last Mofference, we decided to add plating color to droid infoboxes. You should add that in as well.
- It seems to me that there are too many images. I would recommend removing -File:Chameleon Droid.jpg- and then moving the Unduli and Offee image to the right and Yoda to the left side.
- The droids were ready by 22 BBY and were deployed during the Battle of Geonosis. During the battle, three chameleon droids used their holographic projectors. - The function of the droids during the battle need a little more context.
- They descended to the planet in hyperspace pods and found the towering structure almost immediately. - What is the towering structure?
- Why were Amidala and Yoda in the vicinity? Were they going somewhere? A little context needed, just a few words.
- Be careful of your linking. You want to link once each in the intro, infobox, image caption, and the first time something is introduced in the main body.
- The droid's name may have been derived from the word "spelunker," a person who explores underground areas either professionally or for sport. - This can not be referenced to the game. If anything you need to find a dictionary type source. Just to warn you, even then it might be considered OR. Some of the Inqs and/or AC members will not let this pass. I'm not saying it will be like that, but there is a possibility.
- The pre-conversion and post-conversion being split in both the functions section and the history section is a bit confusing. It might need to be split up instead into just pre- and post- conversion sections, although I'm not sure about it. I'll ask around, see what others think, and get back to you about it tonight. Otherwise, you did a good job with it. :-) Cylka-talk- 20:18, 2 February 2009 (UTC)
After thinking about it and talking it over with a couple of others, I have a couple of suggestions for changing the layout a bit. Mind you, there is no "right way" for this, so don't take this this as something you have to do.
- I would take the functions and capabilities section and reduce it to a bare bones type. Maybe stream line it in a similar fashion to Plunk droid. The biggest problem as I see it is that there is some redundancy in the functions and history sections. You should try to eliminate that.
- I would then go into the history section and divide that into pre-conversion and post-conversion subsections, maybe similar to GT-9R. Alternatively, you don't have to sub-section them, you can just leave them as two separate paragraphs. The Clone Wars deserve their own sub-section, so I would leave it as is.
- This is a bit of a tricky subject since they were redesigned, but if you reduce the redundancy, the article will flow much better. Cylka-talk- 05:10, 3 February 2009 (UTC)
Great job, Soresu! It looks much better now and the flow is much smoother. The only thing that I really see that needs to be changed is to talk a bit more about Arakyd Industries in the Spelunker probe droid section. They were the ones that first manufactured them, correct? Techno union converted them? You want to keep the manufacturer of the droid model in the section with that specific model. Otherwise, it's looking good. Cylka-talk- 09:32, 3 February 2009 (UTC)
- Hey Soresu. I added in a plate coloring based on the image that came from NEGD. I doubt that anyone will have a problem with it and there should be a plating color for the Spelunker probe droid phase. Other than that, I think it's ready to go and you should nominate it. I'm sure there will be changes that other reviewers will want, but that is only to be expected. Good job for a first GAN! Cylka-talk- 09:08, 4 February 2009 (UTC)
- Hey Soresu. It's great that you put the article up on the GAN page. I just wanted to let you know that I'm going to hold off on reviewing until the info from TCW CG is added in, just in case you need some help to integrate it into the article. Good luck. Cylka-talk- 16:20, 5 February 2009 (UTC)
- Excellent. No one can say that there is information missing from TCW now. I'm gearing up for my GAN page grind, so I'll be reviewing the article sometime today or tomorrow. Not that I think that there is much to review at this point ;-) You've done a good job with it. Cylka-talk- 11:17, 6 February 2009 (UTC)

Try simply copying the raw code of your signature into the "Signature" field of your preferences, and then checking "custom signature." Hey Soresu. Thanks for helping us out in finding articles that need to be reviewed, however the page that you created is something that only an AC member creates for articles that are formally under review. We are currently working our way through the current GAs to see which ones need to be probed, but since we only meet once a month, we can't review them all at once. If you find an article that you feel needs to be reviewed, you can leave a message on the AC forum or you let one of us know directly. Thanks. Cylka-talk- 21:33, 18 February 2009 (UTC)
Categorization
Hey Soresumakashi, just wanted to let you know that template:subcat|subcat is actually made for categories that contain other categories and content (pages/images), for example Category:Technology. If you take a look at the source ([[Category:Technology| Weapons]]) you see that there is a space after the vertical bar which ensures that all categories are on the first page and not elsewhere. However, if a category only consists of other subcats, please use the normal categorization by the wiki software to keep it consistent. I already corrected your category creations myself, I just wanted to tell you this so that you know this for future creations. Pranay Sobusk ~ Talk 16:05, 25 February 2009 (UTC)

Re:Outer Rim
Hey Soresu. It probably would be, but sometimes I like this kind of mindless busy work. It gives me a break from the GAN and the project. Plus, a lot of these articles haven't been looked at in years, and they have many errors in them. This gives me a chance to fix up infoboxes, add links, and such. Cylka-talk- 08:24, 4 March 2009 (UTC)
Skirata
Hey Soresu. As much as I think that it's good of you to help with the Ordo Skirata article, I would ask you not to go overboard with it. I'm only saying this because the GAN process is a learning process, and I want to make sure that new nominators learn from their experience. Otherwise, if they decide to nominate an article again, there are the same problems to deal with. Thanks. Cylka-talk- 08:19, 5 March 2009 (UTC)
- Yes, Soresu, you are right in that your edits were of the copy-edit type and they were fine. I didn't mean to imply that you were doing anything wrong, or that you should stop fixing minor problems. Sometimes it's hard to find that middle ground for {{sofixit}}, and that is all I wanted to remind you of. Keep up the good work. Cylka-talk- 12:21, 5 March 2009 (UTC)
Hey Soresu. No worries. Sure, it's been archived. You can see the article milestones on the talk page. Also you can look under the Droids section in the Good articles. Cylka-talk- 00:20, 7 March 2009 (UTC)
Jedi Exile
- Hi! I'm here to say thanks for the note, and...well...*ducks tomatoes* theres something wrong with the exile's page... something about a cyan light saber, and apparently it's got a source, but I've read it, and there's no mention of the exile having a a cyan light saber , or brown hair. Has the Exile's page got fanonitis? I've left a thing on the forums, but all I'm trying to say is... am I not the only person who has noticed this? check it out, it was there last time i checked. —Unsigned comment by Mornie (talk • contribs)
Re: Images
Hey Soresu. I actually use a program called FRAPS to capture screenshots, and then I play around with the exposure, contrast, brightness, etc in Photoshop. The basic version of FRAPS is a free download and you can get it here. I don't know if I have any real techniques that I use. If you aren't in combat mode during the game, then you can hit capslock to go into first person mode to get some shots. During combat mode, all you can do is pause the game and move the camera around. I also have a modding program that's called the Kotor Save Game Editor (KSE). It allows you to pretty much do anything with a saved game, and is really useful. It's free also, and you can get it here. I can also give you a tip on how to get enemy shots, like I did for the Unidentified Mandalorian commander. I used the KSE to remove my companions, and then I went and to fight the Mandalorians. I made sure that I killed the two other NPCs that were with him, and then I ran away so that the combat mode would end. I then stealthed myself and went back to the clearing where he was. Since he didn't see me, I didn't go into combat mode and, I could go into first person view to get some screenshots of him. Otherwise, I simply take a ton of screenshots and sift through them for the best one. Honestly, I've found that post-processing is key. Even a little bit of adjustment of the exposure or brightness can make a huge difference. Basically, play around a lot for practice, and you'll find your own groove. Hope this helps, and good luck! Endar Spire
Hey Soresu. Nice articles you have created in Unidentified Jedi (Endar Spire) and Unidentified Sith (Endar Spire). I do have a couple of things I wanted to mention to you, however. I'm not completely sure that you can claim that image as canonical since I know, at least for the female Jedi, her head model changes depending on which head model a player picks when playing the game as a female Revan. I'm not sure if the same goes for a male. The only other concern I had was that I don't think you can claim that the Sith was a Sith Lord of Revan's Empire. Even Bandon wasn't in that category. As far as I know, the only confirmed Sith Lords of that time are Revan, Malak, Traya, Nihilus, and Sion. I would take these two things into consideration. Otherwise, the canonicity of the articles may be suspect. Other than that, good work! Cylka-talk- 09:47, 15 March 2009 (UTC)
- I just wanted to let you know that I created a new sub-category for Sith of Revan's Sith Empire, and that I added the Unidentified Sith to that category instead. Cylka-talk- 11:47, 15 March 2009 (UTC)

Re: Request
Thanks, Soresu. Sure I'll look at it today or tomorrow. I've been a little sick lately, and I have only recently started getting back to spending more time on the site. Cylka-talk- 00:36, 19 April 2009 (UTC)
- Ugh, I'm sorry that it has taken me so long, Soresu. I will take a look at both of these today. Cylka-talk- 03:53, 3 May 2009 (UTC)
- Before I look at the articles, I looked at the quotes, and I would go along with the written ones since that is what I found in the dialog files. The discrepancy might be a nice thing to add into the Bts. Cylka-talk- 04:17, 3 May 2009 (UTC)
Hey, er
What's up with the censorship? I'm having this problem quite a lot recently, actually. People thinking I'm a vandal and such. Maybe I need to get a better haircut or something. -- Hindleyite 10:50, 19 April 2009 (UTC)
Re: Award
Thanks very much for the Wookiee Cookie. :) I have yet to actually get an article to FA or GA status, but I'll keep on doing what I can. CC7567 (talk) 07:53, 22 April 2009 (UTC)
- Ah, I see; sorry, I was a little confused. Thanks very much. CC7567 (talk) 15:57, 22 April 2009 (UTC)

KB
Hey, Soresu. I've noticed you're very helpful at responding to KB threads, and we thank you for your efforts. But I want to make clear to you that KB forums are for canonically answerable questions only. There's a nice big disclaimer on the KB forum page that reads, "The Knowledge Bank is only for canonically answerable questions. Incorrect or speculatory answers will be reverted or removed, while sourced or otherwise verifiable answers may remain." As much as you are helping by trying to answer these questions, it would be even more helpful if you could help us in cutting down on these many forum questions that simply have no answers by marking them for deletion. Thanks! Toprawa and Ralltiir 21:54, 23 April 2009 (UTC)
Hey there.
Hey there Soresu. Just wanted to say thanks for tweaking those pages. I am appreciative of the help with things. Jaygo Katarr 15:29, 24 April 2009 (UTC)
Don't think you wouldn't get one too. :P

Re: WP:KOTOR thing
Hey, Soresu :). Don't worry about the WP:KOTOR thing, I knew it was probably just a freak error :P. I like how you communicate through the RCs by the way :-). Grunny (Talk) 10:03, 1 May 2009 (UTC)
Unidentified Sith soldier
Hey Soresu. I've taken a look at this one for right now. Before I go into details, I wanted to remind you not to have links in the actual quotes. Also, there is an obscure CT that states that we shouldn't have links in the bolded titles in in-article titles, so I have removed those. I would suggest that you now need to tweak the intro a bit.
- Since this is a short article I am going to going to suggest that you reduce the context problem for Revan by not even mentioning that he is the former Dark Lord of the Sith. Otherwise you are going to need to add in more context. I would simply call him a Republic soldier, since his former status has absolutely no bearing on the article.
- which belonged to the Galactic Republic, the Empire's main enemies in the galaxy-spanning Jedi Civil War. - I would lose the the Empire's main enemies part, and find a different way of contextualizing the Jedi Civil War.
- You should probably make it more clear that first there was the battle on the Endar Spire, and then the occupation and quarantine of Taris by the Sith.
- Other than that, it's pretty good. Oh, also remember not to use the word "unfortunately." It sounds POVish. Make these small changes, and I'll look at it again, but it really is in good shape. Cylka-talk- 04:41, 4 May 2009 (UTC)
OK, Soresu, here is my in-depth review of this article. Once you take care of these objections, I'll support as soon as you put it up.
- In 3,956 BBY, he was part of a large fleet sent to capture and occupy Taris - We don't actually know that he was sent to capture and occupy Taris. He may have been sent in later. I would simply say that he was part of the occupation force.
- Taris, a member world of the Galactic Republic, which the Empire was at war with - Well, the Sith weren't just at war with the Republic, it was the Jedi Civil War, after all. Please change this around to reflect this.
- Although the Sith forces defeated the Republic cruiser Endar Spire in a space battle over the planet - There isn't much set up for this statement, you just jump into it. Maybe say something to the effect of The Republic cruiser Endar Spire was ambushed in a battle over the planet...
- He then noticed Revan and Onasi, and, recognizing them as Republic fugitives, ordered his battle droids to attack, while he engaged the remaining Duros. He and his droids - The use of pronouns makes it a bit unclear as to whom you are talking about. Please clear this up a bit.
- Alright, I have only found one concrete source that said that the Sith instituted a planet-wide quarantine and orbital blockade in the wake of the Endar Spire's destruction. And it is <ref name="databank">{{DB|character|canderousordo|Ordo, Canderous|archivedate=20100329221114}}</ref>. So, I need you to add in this ref note for that statement. However, this also means that you will need to reference the rest of the article to the game. The game was a bit unclear in the progression of events, so that is why you need to add the extra ref. Cylka-talk- 11:45, 11 May 2009 (UTC)
- Again, I'm really sorry that it took me so long to go over this. I have given it a copy-edit and as soon as you nominate the article, I will support. Good luck. Cylka-talk- 06:46, 20 June 2009 (UTC)
- No problem. I wouldn't wait too long to nominate since it is summer and there will be more noms on the page anyway. If you feel up to it, nominate it right away -- it might take some time in any case. I will go through Ixgil in the next couple of days. Cylka-talk- 06:57, 20 June 2009 (UTC)

Ixgil
OK, here is my preliminary review for Ixgil.
- Some similar concerns that I had with the Unidentified soldier. There needs to be a little context as to why the Sith and Revan and Onasi were there. Also, simply identify Revan as a Republic soldier to do away with the need for additional context.
- And again, the only concrete source for the Sith blockade is the ref that I already left on your talk page. That will need to be added in and the article referenced. Take care of these things and I'll look at it again. It looks good, Soresu, it just needs a little more work. Cylka-talk- 17:42, 11 May 2009 (UTC)

Soresu. You're a dynamo. Your vote and words of support meant a lot to me. I had no idea that I helped you get started; it's been my goal to be the kind of user and admin to facilitate people acclimating to the community and its processes, and to see it come to fruition in such an amazing user as you just makes me beam. Thank you for your confidence in me. Graestan(Talk) 03:22, 14 May 2009 (UTC)
Burra
Hey Soresu, on my Burra GAN, Grunny made a point that Cilghal, among other Jedi, still refer to Luke as a "Grand Master", and it's not explicitly stated that he gives up the title, as Kenth is only "acting" Grand Master. But before I changed it back Grunny wanted me to check with you. Thanks Jonjedigrandmaster (Jujiggum) 14:56, 14 May 2009 (UTC)
- Ok, thanks man. Jonjedigrandmaster (Jujiggum) 10:50, 15 May 2009 (UTC)

Good article nomination: Hig objection
Hello. You have voted the Hig GA nomination here but, I understand, agreeing with a previous objection I had given to the article. That objection has been dealt with to my satisfaction, but I did not strike it yet. If you want, you can check if the objection has been dealt with to your satisfaction too. Thank you, --Skippy Farlstendoiro 09:49, 16 June 2009 (UTC)
Check This
Hey Soresumakashi! I was just thinking that you may want to go to the KB, and check on the Force Lightning article. Thanx Emperor Shorty 00:29, 29 June 2009 (UTC)
