Hi!

Thanks for the welcome. While my knowledge about Star Wars universe is quite limited, I'm impressed by the effort others had put in this Wookieepedia.

As a RPG storyteller, and writing right now a STAR WARS campaign, those informations are a must!

As I said, my knowledge of SW canon is not impressive, but I have some skills in web technologies, I write french and (somehow) english, so I hope I'll help in translations, as well as small orthographic/gramatical corrections.

Today, what bothers me is the logo used by the french version of Wookieepedia. Compare the Death Star logo in those two pages: http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Main_Page http://fr.starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Accueil And you will see the french one is quite badly done.

I have created a new logo here: http://fr.starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Utilisateur:Paercebal But I don't know how to replace the image (and the favicon...), or who needs to be contacted to make the replacement.

Can you help me there ?

Problem

I don't like to whinge, or dob, but due to the disposition of the people of the world, I am forced to. For the article Nute Gunray, I have had to remove the main infobox image due to the fact that it has no source. However, the uploader of the image keeps reverting it to the unsourced image. I don't want this to become an edit war, as that would damage the FA nom, but if I leave the image in there, it will fail anyway. You see the difficulty. Thanks quite a lot for the friendly welcome! ^_^ I've been viewing this quite a bit; surprised me that there wasn't very much information from Gungan Frontier, which has always been a favorite of mine. Palpatinian quotes

Thnx for the welcome. As for Cos's quotes (not Cos, not Cos, no first name, no first name, grr) I think the majority of them are from Dark Lord: Rise of Darth Vader. I didn't source them because the truth is the reason I had most of them was one day when I wanted to collect all my Sith philosophy I went through all my books and comics and typed up every cool Sith philosophy quote into a word doc as well as who said them - but not where they're from. So while most of the Quotes are probably from Dark Lord, some may be from Darth Maul: Shadow Hunter - or Labyrinth of Evil, or Shadows of the Empire (not likely, but maybe) - and some MAY be from Dark Empire I. Hanger Duel

I know, that's what happened with my Utapau Duel article. Though I definitely don't approve as most duels are part of a major battle. I think we should change it to allow duels to be seperate. I don't see anyone trying to put the duel in Palpatine's office with Order 66 or the Great Jedi Purge. I also felt that I should tell you that this was never personal. I realize I created quite a few account names bashing you in some way, and you and a lot of others seem to think that it was because I must strongly dislike you, but I really don't. I was just running out of usernames and you kept consistenly banning me, so I was angry there for a while and made those names. Think of it as a source of inspiration. I don't hold anything against you, can't, really, because I don't know you at all. Jacen Solo

The way I understand it, the infobox image is supposed to be the most recent picture of the character. By reverting the last update I made, you have removed a LOTF era image and put a NJO era image as the infobox image. Why? - JMAS 03:43, 24 February 2007 (UTC)

Request and question

Hey there. Two orders of business. A couple of recently deleted pages from the user page purge have shown up on Special:Wantedpages and I've been doing some edits to remove them. User:CountDooku13/Mechis III in particular (which I won't link to since I'm trying to remove those) had 30 links. The ones that are left are in a userpage guestbook and a bunch of archives. Which leads me to both the request and the question.

  • Request: Could you remove User:RC 2413's guestbook, as those are supposedly being removed on sight now and it seems more official if an admin does it than me.
  • Question: In your administrative opinion, since archives generally are not supposed to be edited, is it more acceptable to leave this a wanted page with 9 links or to edit the archives to remove the link (I've just been removing the /Mechis III code to change the link to the parent userpage).

Image question

SFH, thanks for the welcome! Since you put the welcome on my talk page, I figured I'd come here with a query. I've been working through the DarkStryder articles, and came to Veild-Danol. The image on the page is a black and white one. I have a colour one ready to load, but didn't want to create what would technically be a duplicate image. Can I save over the existing image, or do I have to get the original uploader's permission to do? Many thanks in advance. - Cavalier One 16:55, 9 June 2007 (UTC)
