Petition
Hey dude want to sighn our petition?Sith-venator 02:46, 27 November 2008 (UTC)
- No I do not want to sign your petition. It sounds ridiculous, and I have no problem with the animated series. Lucasfilm will not simply make TCW non-canon because you might not agree with it. See The Crystal Star for another example. -- Riffsyphon1024 08:23, 28 November 2008 (UTC)
- I should rephrase what I had said earlier in a kinder tone however my response is still the same. Please try to make useful contributions to this wiki. A petition here will not likely be supported by others who want to do what they came here to do. -- Riffsyphon1024 05:43, 10 December 2008 (UTC)
Planets
- Curious why the planets list need to be put in separate articles by number.JustinGann 11:35, 3 December 2008 (UTC)
- I sense you are not for this idea, and I believe you meant articles by letter. But wouldn't be easier to peruse if they were separated. It's not about having more articles but rather ease of accessiblity. However if you feel this needs to be discussed amongst the community, feel free to post a Senate Hall thread on the matter. Or if it has already been discussed, could you please redirect me to that thread. Thanks. -- Riffsyphon1024 06:54, 5 December 2008 (UTC)
- where have you been? Did you take a Wookication? Haven't seen much of you. Well, I assumed your semester is almost over--mine ends about the 10th of this month. Good luck on your projects and/or finalsJustinGann 09:33, 5 December 2008 (UTC)

Blue Harvest
The pages should not be merged. Follow both links please: Star Wars Dark Times: Blue Harvest, Part 1 is a special online issue released today, while Star Wars Dark Times 13: Blue Harvest, Part 1 is a comic to be released in April. Mauser 15:08, 7 January 2009 (UTC)

End of 2008 status report: Wormie
- Just in case you're curious as to where this little project stands, here are the statistics:
- Total length: 309 kilobytes, which is 90 KB longer than the actual Luke Skywalker article. Does not include material on the second page.
- 110 sources crossed off the expansion list.
- Unique references: 143
- Net growth over 2008: 180 KB.
I realize that the original goal I set—which was to nominate Luke for GA by the end of 2008—was not accomplished. For one, I didn't know exactly how much stuff there is out there on Luke. Turns out, about half of all continuity. Two, I've been distracted with other, smaller projects, particularly over the past few months. However, I've not given up on this idea, and I'm hoping to get a lot more of it done in 2009! Cheers. Atarumaster88 20px (Talk page) 20:22, 12 January 2009 (UTC)

Thanks for noticing
A while back you complimented me on my translation of sith tombs featured in SW: Legacy comics and my other work. I have been away for a while, so I just noticed it. Just wanted to say thanks. It is always nice when admins/bureaucrats, etc. take the time to comment (positively) on other people's work. You may have encouraged me to contribute more. Cade Skywalker
Hi, Syphon. Grunny told me that you are working on Cade Skywalker; I am also working on his article on this subpage of mine. Would you like to collaborate with me on his article?--Jedi Kasra (talk) 15:18, 6 March 2009 (UTC)
- I would hope to. I had been too busy to start up a project myself but I do have all the sources in which Cade appears and could fill in the gaps. -- Riffsyphon1024 04:47, 19 March 2009 (UTC)
- I know, I'm sorry I couldn't get back to you sooner, been very busy. Anyway, here's my sub-page for Cade's article. Nice to have you working with me. I've got an incomplete intro, could you reword or complete it?--Jedi Kasra (talk) 17:29, 27 April 2009 (UTC)
- Been busy myself. Will do as soon as possible. -- Riffsyphon1024 03:18, 29 April 2009 (UTC)
- Thanks.--Jedi Kasra (talk) 16:55, 29 April 2009 (UTC)
- Hey, are you still interested in working with me on the sub-page? I've got some stuff cleaned up, I think. Could you take a look at it? Yes, the intro still needs to be completed, and the latest info from Legacy 37 needs to be added as well.--Jedi Kasra (talk) 14:45, 24 June 2009 (UTC)
- I've debated whether it was worth editing the subpage or the actual article but I guess I see the importance of subpages in creating GAs and FAs now. I do have the latest issue of Legacy today, Star Wars Legacy 37: Tatooine, Part 1. -- Riffsyphon1024 06:56, 25 June 2009 (UTC)
- That's great! Please add that info to the page. I'll be getting mine later today, as well, but I might or might not be coming to the library tomorrow.--Jedi Kasra (talk) 14:22, 25 June 2009 (UTC)
Greetings. Recently, a user has asked about the source for Bullseye Navior's crash on Gamorr as explained in Navior's article. POTF
Yes, indeed, I do know. Actually, I found several articles based on those globes, and changed the source attribution to the POTF toy line. If anyone deletes one of them, just show them one of the RebelScum.com Photo Archive images of the globes, and tell them they're full of rot. Politely, of course. RE: Cade
Hey Riffs. Great to see you having a go at writing an GA/FA. Since Jedi Kasra is working on the article as well on his subpage, I would suggest working on it with him there. Subpages are better for writing articles as they allow you to work uninterrupted by other editors. In regards to the article itself, right now most of it needs re-writing and expanding each section into greater detail which Kasra has started on his subpage. Feel free to ask me questions about what is required of a featured article along the way :-). Grunny (Talk) 07:46, 20 June 2009 (UTC)
Indexing
I'm not sure this sort of thing should be encouraged. Obviously it's not vote farming, but the intent is clear. Once off it's obviously no harm, especially as Cylka would have found her way to the TC anyway, but if that was around a contentious CT I can imagine it being an issue. -- AdmirableAckbar (Talk) 10:44, 22 June 2009 (UTC)
- Just wouldn't want someone's work to be deleted without them even knowing about it, however it's up to them which direction they vote if at all. -- Riffsyphon1024 06:04, 23 June 2009 (UTC)
- I know, but if someone can't find the TC thread themselves then they don't deserve to have a vote. If I went around telling lots of users who had fanon on their userpage about a vote banning fanon - knowing full well which way they were likely to vote - it would be tantamount to vote-farming. -- AdmirableAckbar (Talk) 10:34, 23 June 2009 (UTC)

FAQ
- Hi Riffsyphon, I belive we have had some dealings in the past. Anyhow, I'm and admin on SWGames. It seems our FAQ section on our wiki was vandalized and has now become deleted and lost in the deletion logs. I was wondering if you minded if we used your (wookieepedia's) FAQ section as a format or guide rather to re-write our FAQ section. Thanks for your time. BobafettH23 02:15, 18 July 2009 (UTC)
- I'd sure like to know how your FAQ section became deleted and how come you're not able to bring it back up, because all pages that are deleted and have a history can be retrieved. If you really need to find something to fill the void, I would prefer if you didn't copy it verbatim, but you would be allowed to rewrite it in your words. I hope that's not asking too much. -- Riffsyphon1024 06:28, 20 July 2009 (UTC)

Hutt planets
Hey Riff. With those new Hutt planets, can you make them like Carlania with infobox, etc, rather than the minimal stubs they are now? It doesn't take that much more work but looks a lot better. --Eyrezer 05:27, 24 August 2009 (UTC)
- Yeah sorry about that Eyrezer. Although I'm still confused as to whether something is Mid Rim or Outer Rim. Hutt Space doesn't really fall into either. -- Riffsyphon1024 05:47, 24 August 2009 (UTC)
Essential Atlas question
I noticed you've been editing the Essential Atlas page a good bit so I thought you would be a good person to ask this. I noticed that while the Atlas show's the Trax Tube and many of the planets in that sector/route in the Mid Rim, the wiki has these locations in the Outer Rim. Which article talk page or forum would be best to inquire about whether this is an error of the Atlas or the older sources? --Kathkira talk 20:39, 26 August 2009 (UTC)
- You may want to bring it up on the talk page for the Atlas itself. I do note that there were some tricky retcons made by Dan and Jason so its possible what you see on the map is the correct placement now. That being said, I've found minor goofs and spelling errors in the text. Also see if they talk about it in the Endnotes that Dan is posting on his blog at SW.com. -- Riffsyphon1024 01:20, 27 August 2009 (UTC)
RE: Template clean-up
That sounds fair. I was only doing so because of our standard of listing them with bullets, and often people do their own thing so I was standardizing. So feel free to put them back with the dashes or I'll go through and do it. Grunny (Talk) 08:01, September 6, 2009 (UTC)
- And in regards to the Triellus Trade Route; you either have to decide to do all routes with dashes or all with bullets, not changing between each one, we should be uniform in these things. Grunny (Talk) 08:04, September 6, 2009 (UTC)
- The template is fine as it is now, if you copy the code from Trade route. All you have to is make sure you use Ref inside the infobox, use hideh=1 when the "Historical" field is empty, when referencing after the first make sure there's a space after the " and before the / (i.e. not ), and capitalize Reflist. These are things our bots are constantly fixing so it's easier if we get them right from the start. Grunny (Talk) 08:13, September 6, 2009 (UTC)
- Sorry about all that Grunny. Just habit after several years of formatting. In regards to consistency between routes, I would hope to be uniform. I would recommend that they all have a dash system to indicate geographic order. Note that I am doing the same with sectors on the route templates. -- Riffsyphon1024 08:16, September 6, 2009 (UTC)
- No worries, correct formatting is just a pet peeve of mine :P. I don't mind as long it's uniform and people are aware of the reasoning behind it :). Grunny (Talk) 08:19, September 6, 2009 (UTC)
- Oh I understand. I loathe bad spelling and have to correct anything I find (even if its in the Atlas itself). :) Here's Najiba Loop reformated. Does that look alright to you? -- Riffsyphon1024 08:21, September 6, 2009 (UTC)

RE: So...
Nice work, Riffs :). I hope you can try to get it up to FA or GA, I don't think we have a route status article yet. Grunny (Talk) 08:21, September 7, 2009 (UTC)
- Nice, I hope you can continue to expand it for the other sources/appearances too, and then take it to either GAN or FAN once you're done writing it :). Grunny (Talk) 09:07, September 7, 2009 (UTC)

deletion of a page
Hello, I was wondering if you could tell me how to recommend how to recommend a page for deletion. I noticed the particularly bad and irrelevant page Feral droids, that was merely one line of nonsense. But I don't know how to recommend it for the Trash Compactor. Can you help? adminship
Hey Riff! How you doin? Recently Graestan removed my adminship only a week after he left a vague warning on my talk page, regarding the six-month 50 mainspace edit requirement. I tried to dispute it on his talk page, because i thought it was unfair that I only got 1 week warning before my adminship was removed, whereas the policy for people totally absent for 6 months get a whole 2 months notice. Graestan has since gone "unavailable until further notice" and hasn't responded. Anyway I was hoping you might reinstate my adminship given that i was given such short notice to reach the 50 edits. You will now find i have over 50 for the last 6 months. And I do plan to contribute much more often :-) Thanks either way. --Azizlight 02:18, October 17, 2009 (UTC)
- Hmm. Idk what to make of it (if you assume it had to fill more than when a defined cutoff might have been). I don't really see a defined cutoff date though, since you were active in May and June (and March and April for that matter) and had that one edit on July 9. So 1 month from July 9th is August 9th, 2 months is September 9th. Graestan made the warning on Sept 24 (2 and a half months after your last edit of the bunch) and then you got the majority of recent edits in. However if he chose June 20th, that would still only be (July 20-Aug 20-Sept 20) three months? Am I missing something? -- Riffsyphon1024 16:01, October 20, 2009 (UTC)
- You're obviously not aware of the relatively recently introduced rule. Per 1, an administrator must have at least 50 edits within the last six month, excepting prior explanation of inactivity, which Azizlight hasn't provided. As shown here Azizlight's last 50 mainspace edits (prior to losing his adminship) stretch back to last March. I would recommend contacting Graestan via email to see if you can reach him that way. -- AdmirableAckbar (Talk) 17:44, October 20, 2009 (UTC)
- Perhaps I'm not aware but thank you for keeping the information going. -- Riffsyphon1024 15:09, October 21, 2009 (UTC)
- Haha, i guess it helps my case that some bureaucrats aren't even aware of the new rule. --Azizlight 20:26, October 22, 2009 (UTC)
- Haha actually, Riffs supported the rule when it was voted in :P. Grunny (Talk) 06:07, October 27, 2009 (UTC)

- Meh, well since two bureaucrats don't seem to want to take action on this, i'm just gonna say never mind, i'm not around much these days anyway to be an administrator. But you might seriously want to look at the procedure for cutting off someone's adminship regarding the 50 mainspace edit rule, because at the moment 6-month-absentees get two months warning, and under-50-edits-people like myself officially get no warning. Not happy, but couldn't be bothered taking it further. --Azizlight 01:33, October 28, 2009 (UTC)
