  • Yea, I've known about this for ages. I created the right template and shizz, but for reasons unknown to me, it keeps reverting back to what it is now. I tried to fix it, but I've given up now. ANy help would really be appreciated. {{SUBST:User:Jasca Ducato/Sig}} 08:00, 19 June 2007 (UTC)

Guess What??

The church where my cousin got married was the filming location for the Enchantment Under the Sea dance in Back to the Future... I had no idea... I would have so taken pictures three years ago. Now come to think of it, it looked so familiar.--Taybo20 19:15, 22 June 2007 (UTC)

WOTM

why did you delete my nomination???? Imperialwalker 20:05, 2 July 2007 (UTC)

  • I was doing everyone a favor, because that was just asking for negative comments. WOTM is there to recognize users who have contributed significantly to Wookieepedia. Moneymeow has not even made one single edit in the main namespeace (meaning our articles). -- Ozzel 20:09, 2 July 2007 (UTC)

You will be the only supporter, and everyone else will be very rude and will say "no way" because he has made absolutely no contribution to this encyclopedia, and has in fact done more harm than good. He would never win, and it would just get people in trouble for the bad things they would say, which, however wrong, would probably be true. I stopped the vote to save you, him, and everyone else a whole lot of grief. -- Ozzel 20:33, 2 July 2007 (UTC)

  • Because you couldn't even spell "Wookiee" correctly, despite it being highly visible on every single page of this wiki. I'm sorry if that annoyed you. Have a nice day. -- Ozzel 03:14, 3 July 2007 (UTC)

Jedimasterbac

Hello, I just wanted to let you know that although "Jedimasterbac" is my alias on some Star Wars websites, the guy you blocked before was not me. He is an impostor of me and he also hit Star Wars Fanon, where I generally am. Again, I'm sure this doesn't really matter, but I just figured I'd let you know. A simple IP lookup can confirm this as well. - Brandon Rhea 23:10, 7 July 2007 (UTC)

How can that rainbow berries article be number 50,000? The main page states we're still 15 away. -- Riffsyphon1024 21:56, 9 July 2007 (UTC)

  • I think it was you Ozzel. I've been keeping an eye on recent changes and Special:Statistics for about half an hour now and I really think it was you who created article number 50,000.... But I could be wrong. --Jedimca0 (Do or Do Not, There is No Try) 22:01, 9 July 2007 (UTC)

        • Hold on Riff... you may have it after all. I was about to move this to the singular rainbow berry, and then I saw that you made that months ago. Meaning... deleting, redirecting, or whatever, Solitaire may actually be the real number 50,000. -- Ozzel 22:26, 9 July 2007 (UTC)

Death Star Uprising

This is sort of a weird one, but why did you move "Death Star Uprising" to "Death Star uprising"? It is a specific event and each word of its name therefore gets a capitalized first letter. It's not just any old uprising, haha. Wolfdog 01:38, 23 August 2007 (UTC)

  • Dave Filoni mentioned it at Celebration 4, although he didn't phrase it like I did, obviously. :-P Still, we can't really cite that. But I think he's mentioned it elsewhere too, so I'll try to hunt down a source, and if I can't find one, I'll strike the objection. -- Ozzel 20:11, 25 August 2007 (UTC)
    • Okay, I kinda found it. There's this, which is edited from the 3 panels they did at C4. It leaves out what he said at the one I attended, because there he specifically mentioned Grievous when he talked about continuity and that GL's ideas override everything else. But anyway, that talks about continuity (at the end), but more importantly, this specifically mentions that Grievous will have the cough (before the Mace thing ever happens). - Ozzel 20:20, 25 August 2007 (UTC)

Star Wars footer

Hi Ozzel -- Long time no see! The conversation on Forum:Other Star Wars wikis on Wikia has stalled... People seemed generally positive about the footer, but then the discussion died without making a clear decision one way or the other. It's fine if folks don't want to use it, but I'd hate to see it not used just because nobody feels like bringing the question to a resolution. Do you have any suggestions? -- Danny (talk) 16:53, 28 September 2007 (UTC)

  • Oh, not really. I like it, personally. I'll see if I can get some other people interested. -- Ozzel 04:59, 1 October 2007 (UTC)

G-A

I have been working, although not in wholesale, (due to reasons which I wish not to disclose) on this. I was hoping you could go over it, and tell me what needs to do. I am still trying to get all of the new soon-to-be-instated rules for GA's. I asked 4dot to to it, but he hasn't done much about it. Oh well. I know he's busy, trying to start the Wookiee-cast again. If you can't, I understand. Thanks! Jedipilot94 *Fo-Shizzle* 03:29, 5 October 2007 (UTC)

Comic covers

Mind if I ask where you found File:SwKOTOR25.jpg in that high res? The source on the image still reflects Rebelscum.com and their image is only 800px high. My usual source for finding them higher res like that seems to have dried up, so I was just curious where you had found it. Thanks. - JMAS 17:05, 9 October 2007 (UTC)

Assuiming good faith, here

Hi. You seem to have made a few points in I suck. I can't find a good S-canon tag thread, and then locked it so I couldn't respond to them, and archived the thread so no one else would read it. I find that more than a little suspicious, but since you admins discuss a lot of things in the IRC, I'm gonna assume this was more than just you preventing discussion and covering up a suggestion you didn't agree with, and actually something the admins found to be a worthwhile move to prevent 'disruption of the wiki'. Am I correct?

Still, I'll just respond here. What else can I do?

You obviously don't understand canon, and that's your problem, not ours. Funny, this, since I read through every Chee and Traviss post in the Holocron thread yesterday in relation to that thread. I would have thought that would give me an idea what Canon is, but clearly I was mistaken. You who understand Canon, why don't you enlighten me, then? As a Wookieepedian and a SW fan, I can never learn too much about Canon.

I don't see why you would even care about this issue since you don't edit articles anyway... unless, perhaps, the only reason you stick around here is to argue. It is true that I rarely contribute, and that has its reasons. But if you read the top of the thread, I actually asked for the tag in question so that I might include it in articles. Me, myself, no one else. That must count as a contribution, however small. As for the arguing part, that has been one of the lasting reasons why I have come to the site more than once a day, that is true, but never my reason for being a user. That is now over, since I have gone out of politics. From now on I will only come here to read and occasionally edit. The latest argument was a result of the latter. DarthMRN 11:19, 12 October 2007 (UTC)

  • Well, I closed it because you implied that you were done.

The thing with S-canon is, it's canon. It isn't non-canon, therefore, it is canon. If S-canon was N-canon, there would be no S-canon. But there is, because S is still canon. We do include the Holocron canon status in infoboxes sometimes, but regarding articles for IU things, we don't differentiate, because it's all canon.

Now, about the arguing. You seem to spend a great deal of time here lately arguing and debating, and none contributing to articles. It gives the impression that you only come to Wookieepedia to debate things. I don't want to sound too accusatory, but that's just how I see it. Maybe this isn't the case. But my advice would be to avoid the Senate Hall and Consensus Track. If you say you're done with the wiki-lawyering and politics, then it would probably be best if you show it. You're welcome to contribute to the encyclopedia, but coming here just to bicker in the forums doesn't do anyone any good. -- Ozzel 23:58, 12 October 2007 (UTC)

    • No, closing it when I said I was done is understandable, if a little odd, considering that all you then did was prevent anyone else from posting. What irks me is that you archived it. That gives the distinct impression, given that you disagreed with me, of cencorship of my idea. If you truly feel the reasons you have given are sufficient for Wookieepedia to make no distinctions between C and S, you should have given them in the thread. The fact that you didn't, and in stead chose to remove it from sight, to me screams that you are afraid my arguments will be taken seriously enough to spark change. I'm sure you can see how that can come off as abuse of power.

The points you make about canon indicates that as long as it hasn't been deemed N-canon, Wookieepedia should make no distinction whatsoever. I cannot imagine what good that would do for the wiki, and can quite clearly picture examples where it would cause the uninformed reader confusion. But as I've gone out of politics, I haven't and won't take the matter to the CT myself. But by archiving it, you are insuring that no one else will either, based solely on your interpretation of how viewing the S-canon matter serves the Wook best. IMO at least giving the community the opportuinity to adress, and potentially change how this is handled, if arguments for its efficiecy gained support, would be the 'adminly' thing to do. Unintentionally or not, given that I won't take it to the CT myself, you have basically made this desicion on behalf of the community. Therein lies my objection.

I would ask that you restore the thread, open it, and voice your opionon on the canon matter there. I'll even promise not to make any further responses there if that helps. If you are right, and can make a case for it, I see no reason why you shouldn't.

About the arguing, I can definetly see how it must look, and it has often felt as if though I came here mostly for arguments. But as I said, that is over now, and I already follow your advice. I don't participate in CT's any more, and the Senate Hall thing started as a request for help, not an argument or policy proposal. That is what it turned into though. DarthMRN 02:16, 13 October 2007 (UTC)

      • Addendum: And let's be realistic. If you restore the thread, there is virtually no chance in hell anyone but maveric MRN would have the guts to go against both Cabal and tradition to get this issue changed. You stand to lose nothing. All I'm asking is that you don't arbitrarily withold the opportunity for it. DarthMRN 02:34, 13 October 2007 (UTC)
  • Wookieepedia does not make a distinction between G- and C-canon, and it doesn't, nor should it, differentiate between C- and S- (or, when the time comes, T-). If it is so important to you that we do, then (and this goes completely against what I said to you before, but I wouldn't try to stop you) perhaps you should go make a CT on the issue. Now, I'm going to stop arguing the issue. You can take it up somewhere else or with someone else if you like, but I'm dropping it.

Now, I closed your thread not to censor you, but simply because you said you were done and so I felt that there was no point in continuing it. But you obviously were not done, so if you feel that the issue is worth pursuing, you are welcome to contact another administrator regarding me or the closure of the thread (which I would be fine with them reopening). But I am done, and I will not continue to argue with you here any further. -- Ozzel 04:49, 13 October 2007 (UTC)

    • Alright. I'll take what I can get. Admin autonomy hasn't kicked in yet, has it? DarthMRN 14:24, 13 October 2007 (UTC)

Ewoks episodes

Hi, Ozzel. I would like to know if you are using a sharing program to download the Ewoks episodes. I'm using the BitLord program. I received eight episodes. All of them have .avi extension and DivX codec. But the BitLord is ending only one or two episodes per week. I'm waiting for other eleven episodes that I chose.

I will be grateful if you'll invite me at least the episodes The Wish Plant, The First Apprentice, The Season Scepter, The Tree of Light and The Land of the Gupins.

You can use my address: delmarnori@yahoo.com.br

I'm enjoying to write for Wookieepedia. - Delmarnori 17:09, 15 October 2007

  • The SoulSeek program is full of fails. No episode was found or downloaded. My priority is the episode The Wish Plant; so I ask you to invite me (directly to delmarnori@yahoo.com.br) only this episode. It always comes with The Crystal Cloak at the same file. - Delmarnori 22:22, 17 December 2007
