Isila Drutch

Hi, could you give Isila Drutch a copyedit? I am not sure about the note, as this is the first time I've done one. Thanks, 501st dogma(talk) 23:48, May 28, 2012 (UTC)

Done. The note looks great. Let me know if you have any other questions. —MJ— Comlink Tuesday, May 29, 2012, 00:51 UTC
Thanks for the copyedit! 501st dogma(talk) 21:19, May 29, 2012 (UTC)

Ahn Rasi Tuum

Hi, Jon. Could you please copy-edit and pre-nom review Ahn Rasi Tuum for me? Thanks in advance.—Jedi Kasra (comlink) 20:27, May 29, 2012 (UTC)

Done. One objection:
  • "As Sazen finished expressing his belief that successfully finding Skywalker was vital, Tuum was impaled by a spear, which was thrown by one of the Sith that were hiding in the shadows in order to ambush the Jedi.": Can you try to introduce the Sith a little earlier? Right now, they just drop in out of nowhere, and it left me going "wait, what?" Something like, "Unknown to the Jedi, there were Sith..."
    • Taken care of.
Otherwise, looks great. Welcome back to the wiki! —MJ— War Room Tuesday, May 29, 2012, 21:13 UTC
Thanks, Jon, it's great to be back.—Jedi Kasra (comlink) 21:17, May 29, 2012 (UTC)
Article should be good to go now. —MJ— Council Chambers Tuesday, May 29, 2012, 21:20 UTC
Thanks for the review and copy-edit, just nommed it.—Jedi Kasra (comlink) 21:25, May 29, 2012 (UTC)

CVI

I just booked my flight a few minutes ago, Souderwan set me up with a room at the Villa on TFN, so I am a definite will-be-there. So, yes, I am definitely interested in the exhibitor's pass. Now, the focus will be on general travel expenses, since the hard part has been taken care of. Trak Nar Ramble on 02:44, June 4, 2012 (UTC)

Great! You've already been flagged with {{CVIpass}} on the signup list, so it's yours. :) —MJ— Council Chambers Monday, June 4, 2012, 03:45 UTC

Re: Signature

Haha, the break isn't actually part of my signature. I just type that.—Eшσҡ $їтӈ Lōяƌ 22:04, June 5, 2012 (UTC)
see?
Eшσҡ $їтӈ Lōяƌ 22:04, June 5, 2012 (UTC)

Whether it's actually present in your preferences or signature template doesn't matter. If you are typing it before your signature manually, then it still qualifies as part of your signature. Please stop using it. —MJ— Jedi Council Chambers Tuesday, June 5, 2012, 22:16 UTC
Just out of curiosity, why can't I put a break there? I was just putting it there because I thought it looked nicer with the signature underneath the message. I wasn't aware that it counted as part of my signature.—Eшσҡ $їтӈ Lōяƌ 23:12, June 5, 2012 (UTC)
"Signature" is actually not specifically defined in policy. I'm assuming that it counts as part of the signature, but I'll check with others to see if I'm misinterpreting things. —MJ— War Room Wednesday, June 6, 2012, 00:51 UTC
See Forum:NB:Definition of "signature". —MJ— Council Chambers Wednesday, June 6, 2012, 01:10 UTC
Haha thanks. Sorry Culator kind of got pissed at you. It's not a problem. I'll stop putting it there.—Eшσҡ $їтӈ Lōяƌ 02:46, June 6, 2012 (UTC)

New TCW Timeline

Hey Jon. When you get the chance, would you mind weighing in on the proposal here on implementing the new TCW timeline? Thanks. CC7567 (talk) 01:30, June 9, 2012 (UTC)

I requested the book from the library a few days ago (for the second time because they sent me the original version the first time), and I am waiting on it to arrive so I can look at the timeline with my own eyes before I give my opinions. Although based on the listing in the holds section of my library account, I fear the book in transit is the wrong version again... —MJ— Jedi Council Chambers Saturday, June 9, 2012, 02:38 UTC

Shepherd

Hi, could you give Shepherd a copyedit? Thanks, 501st dogma(talk) 16:44, June 14, 2012 (UTC)

Done. Let me know if you have any questions. —MJ— Holocomm Friday, June 15, 2012, 02:09 UTC

Varko

Hey Jon, could you please give Varko a copy-edit, review, and a word count? I think I got him to GA standards, but not completely sure. Thanks in advance!—Jedi Kasra (comlink) 07:01, June 18, 2012 (UTC)

Done. I have no objections. :) Let me know if you have any questions. —MJ— Council Chambers Monday, June 18, 2012, 19:09 UTC
Thanks, Jon. I'll nom it now.—Jedi Kasra (comlink) 21:59, June 18, 2012 (UTC)

Clarification,please?

Just for clarification sake, the "50 main namespace edits" you mentioned per the voting guidelines is the same thing as the edits stat on my contributions page, correct?ShannarythVenhallyn 16:46, June 18, 2012 (UTC)

No, that's your total edits to all namespaces, which is irrelevant. The important number can be found at Special:Editcount/ShannarythVenhallyn; it is the number immediately to the right of "(Main)" (currently 21 as I type this). You need to get that up to at least 50 before you can cast votes. :) —MJ— Holocomm Monday, June 18, 2012, 18:07 UTC

The search

Hello there! Would you be willing to give The search for Captain Kael a copy-edit and review? Thanks! Corellian PremierRobotechAll along the watchtower 16:31, June 19, 2012 (UTC)

Done. Objections:
  • Please find a different title for the first level 3 heading. Using the same title for both it and the parent heading immediately above it is redundant and a bit awkward.
  • "During the skirmish, he went through the middle of the mining camp and passed under an energy field, which had a strange regenerative effect on his craft's shields." Based on the statement about this in the BTS, the shield replenishing effect seems to be pure game mechanics. Unless there is a non–game mechanic reason why this should stay (and I highly doubt that because of the 100% game completion template), it and the BTS statement need to be removed.
    • The BTS statement also should be removed. A method of replenishing shields, health, etc. is present in almost all combat games. It's not worth being mentioned. The quote should vanish as well. —MJ— War Room Tuesday, June 19, 2012, 19:51 UTC
  • "Players assume the role of Sykes and pilot a Flash speeder as the mission's default craft." What is a Flash speeder? I know it's the Seraph, but you never make that connection. Please clarify for the reader who may be unaware of that.
  • "The betrayal of the mining camp happens during a cutscene and it is necessary to destroy the camp before proceeding." Not necessary. There's no reason to explain one piece of the gameplay like this; the simple lack of a 100% game completion template on those events is enough to make it clear that they are mandatory, and it's not necessary to specify what portions occur in a cutscene and what occurs in gameplay.
Let me know if you have any further questions. —MJ— Holocomm Tuesday, June 19, 2012, 17:11 UTC

11-4D

I have a quick question that needs answering. In Darth Plagueis, 11-4D is described as being name after its model number. Does this mean that there is a model of 11-4D (I've already created one, as I did not read that part clearly), or 11-4D is named after the number it is of the model, if that makes any sense? Thanks, 501st dogma(talk) 19:39, June 19, 2012 (UTC)

I honestly have no clue. I recommend posing the question in the SH. Surely somebody will be able to help you there. —MJ— Council Chambers Tuesday, June 19, 2012, 19:53 UTC
Another question. Throughout the book 11-4D is referred to as "it". However, I found one reference of 11-4D being called a male, with "his". Would this imply that 11-4D was masculine programmed becasue of that one reference? 501st dogma(talk) 18:37, June 24, 2012 (UTC)
Again, it would be best to ask the community in the SH. Droids are not an area I'm familiar with, and so I don't know how situations like that are handled. —MJ— War Room Sunday, June 24, 2012, 20:56 UTC
Ok, will do. 501st dogma(talk) 22:04, June 24, 2012 (UTC)

Pong

Jonathan, I am aware of the situation regarding Pong. Since I am currently busy, I haven't had enough time to edit the article. Thanks, JangFett (Talk) 16:23, June 20, 2012 (UTC)

I understand that, but the inuse tag is not meant to be left on there indefinitely. If you're not going to edit it for a while, the tag should be removed to allow others to complete the article. It looks bad for us to have an incomplete article sitting for months with empty sections. If you can't finish it, please allow others to do so. —MJ— Jedi Council Chambers Wednesday, June 20, 2012, 16:51 UTC

Unidentified Jedi (Kardem's victim)

Hey Jon, could you please copy-edit, review, and give a word-count for this Jedi? Thanks in advance.—Jedi Kasra (comlink) 23:17, June 21, 2012 (UTC)

Done. Objections and other stuff:
  • I don't recall if you were around when this change was gradually made, but opening a conjecturally-titled article with the word "This" is now considered OOU. The reasoning, as I understand it, is that the word "this" refers to the person, idea, etc. just mentioned (see defintion 5 here), and therefore by opening the article with it, you are referring directly to the OOU title and implicitly incorporating it into the article itself. It is now preferred to open with "A [noun]" instead. I've changed things around here for you, so take a look at what I did and be careful of that in the future.
    • That makes sense, and I was not here when this system was implemented. 501st dogma mentioned this in his review for Bandon's Jedi Master.—Jedi Kasra (comlink) 23:32, June 23, 2012 (UTC)
  • Actual objection: the SW.com forums are history and therefore reference 2 is dead. Tm_T archived everything we had links to before they were shut down and posted the archives on his own website. Contact him to get the new link.
Otherwise, the article looks good to me at 408 words according to my JS counter. Let me know if you have any questions. —MJ— Training Room Saturday, June 23, 2012, 16:36 UTC
Thanks for your help, Jon.—Jedi Kasra (comlink) 23:32, June 23, 2012 (UTC)

Rivi-Anu

Hey Jon, would you mind giving Rivi-Anu a copy-edit, review, and word-count? Also, I was wondering if you remember which issue of Star Wars Insider the preview for Clone Wars Adventures Volume 6 was in? And Eon and their companions will be next. Thanks in advance.—Jedi Kasra (comlink) 06:47, June 24, 2012 (UTC)

And there is a discrepancy issue in the article which CSWE has created, if the article hasn't handled it correctly, please advise.—Jedi Kasra (comlink) 06:48, June 24, 2012 (UTC)
Done. I have no objections, and the CSWE discrepancy appears to me to have been resolved properly. I located the Insider preview and created a sources list with it and the CSWE entry. Since you're writing so many articles so fast, I should alert you to another change that I don't believe you were around for, which is that there is now a limit of four GANs per user at any given time. Let me know if you have any questions.
Oh, and I forgot to state that it is roughly 683 words, and I forgot to sign. *smacks self on forehead* —MJ— Comlink Monday, June 25, 2012, 03:26 UTC
No problem, Jon. No, I wasn't aware of the GAN limit, is there an limit to the FANs, out of curiosity? And thanks for the Insider info, btw.—Jedi Kasra (comlink) 03:55, June 25, 2012 (UTC)
There was an limit of three FANs for a brief time, but there isn't a limit now. There's also no limit on CANs. —MJ— Comlink Tuesday, June 26, 2012, 17:05 UTC

MediaWiki update

Done, with a slight side of snark. - Cavalier OneFarStar(Squadron channel) 18:11, June 26, 2012 (UTC)

Yeah, I like that. Thanks. —MJ— Training Room Tuesday, June 26, 2012, 18:12 UTC

Eon

Hey Jon, could you give Eon a copy-edit and pre-nom review? Thanks in advance.—Jedi Kasra (comlink) 03:39, June 27, 2012 (UTC)

Done, with no objections again. :) Let me know if you have any questions. —MJ— Council Chambers Wednesday, June 27, 2012, 18:01 UTC
Thanks, Jon.—Jedi Kasra (comlink) 18:39, June 27, 2012 (UTC)

11-4D (again)

Hi, could you give 11-4D a copyedit on my workbench? He's a bit longer than usual (approx 5000 words), so it will probally take more time than usual. Thanks! 501st dogma(talk) 20:01, June 27, 2012 (UTC)

Yeah, I'll get to it within the next few days. There's a chance it could be done tonight, but not likely. Ping me here if I haven't done it by Sunday, as that would mean I've likely forgotten. —MJ— Comlink Wednesday, June 27, 2012, 23:38 UTC
Done. Let me know if you have any questions. —MJ— Comlink Friday, June 29, 2012, 17:24 UTC
Thanks! The only question I have is why you changed "it". to "it." at the end of the BtS? 501st dogma(talk) 18:33, June 29, 2012 (UTC)
In American punctuation, periods and commas always go inside quotation marks, the only exception being where putting them inside would cause confusion (e.g. when dealing with a password or cheat code). —MJ— Comlink Friday, June 29, 2012, 19:15 UTC
Ok, that makes sense then. 501st dogma(talk) 19:40, June 29, 2012 (UTC)

Unidentified Human Sith Lord (Daluuj)

Hey Jon, could you give Unidentified Human Sith Lord (Daluuj) a copy-edit and review? Thanks in advance.—Jedi Kasra (comlink) 02:32, June 29, 2012 (UTC)

Done. I have no objections once again. Let me know if you have any questions. —MJ— Council Chambers Friday, June 29, 2012, 17:52 UTC
Thanks, once again, Jon.—Jedi Kasra (comlink) 18:59, June 29, 2012 (UTC)
I think there's something wrong with the third reference, it's showing the wiki code. I don't know how to fix it, exactly, would you mind correcting it? Thanks in advance.—Jedi Kasra (comlink) 23:36, June 29, 2012 (UTC)
Yep, I can be an idiot on occasion. I have no clue why I manually linked Jan's name when I knew that it would do so automatically. —MJ— Jedi Council Chambers Saturday, June 30, 2012, 03:51 UTC

Wedge and Rogue Squadron

Hello there, I noticed Wedge is missing a source: Star Wars: Rogue Squadron: The Official Nintendo Player's Guide. He has a significant presence in it: a small bio, quotes, and of course, mission walkthroughs. How do you want to handle this? Corellian PremierRobotechAll along the watchtower 18:12, June 30, 2012 (UTC)

My preferred method is to just get the book and do it myself, but in this case that doesn't appear to be possible, as it is not available through the library. I even searched all three of their interlibrary loan databases, two regional and one international, for the ISBN number and none of them, not even WorldCat, had it. If you have it, I encourage you to be bold and do it yourself. I do appreciate you letting me know about it. —MJ— Council Chambers Saturday, June 30, 2012, 20:33 UTC
Okay, here is what I added. Let me know if that works or not. Corellian PremierRobotechAll along the watchtower 18:06, July 3, 2012 (UTC)
I performed a minor copy-edit on the BTS addition, please check whether I got the right last names for Zev and Dack (I'm assuming Senesca and Ralter, respectively). Otherwise, looks good. Thanks! —MJ— Holocomm Tuesday, July 3, 2012, 21:36 UTC

Trasemene and Insurrection

Hi again. Could you give both Battle of Trasemene and Sy Myrthian Insurrection a copyedit? Thanks for your time, 501st dogma(talk) 22:14, June 30, 2012 (UTC)

Both done. Let me know if you have any questions. —MJ— Holocomm Sunday, July 1, 2012, 00:45 UTC

Fourth Battle of Kuat

Could you give the Fourth Battle of Kuat a copyedit and a wordcount? And, is it appropriate to have a quote by an author as the lead quote (it's the only quote)? Thanks, 501st dogma(talk) 17:39, July 5, 2012 (UTC)

Also, does the infobox look fine? Thanks, 501st dogma(talk) 13:25, July 6, 2012 (UTC)
Done. Notes:
  • When pipelinking to past battles, it's best (if possible) to link a noun or noun phrase that refers to the battle or, failing that, a verb that refers to the battle. Avoid linking prepositions like "at" for this purpose. Example (from this article): "culminated in the death of Warlord Zsinj [...] at the planet Dathomir." instead of "culminated in the death of Warlord Zsinj [...] at the planet Dathomir."
  • In the following sentence, I changed "three previous attempts" to one attempt. The Space Battle at Kuat and Third Battle of Kuat were not attempts by the Rebels/NR to actually take control of Kuat.
  • Word count: 1,226 words.
  • Quote: It cannot be used there as OOU quotes can only be used in the BTS. I've moved the quote down there.
  • Infobox: For NR casualties, just say "None" is you can be sure that there were absolutely none, otherwise leave it blank if none are known but you can't be sure there weren't any at all. You shouldn't call out specific units just to say that they didn't suffer any casualties; specific units should only be mentioned if they were actually casualties.
    • The book specificly says that there were no fighters lost, though nothing else about other losses. 501st dogma(talk) 11:38, July 7, 2012 (UTC)
And that's it. Let me know if you have any questions. —MJ— Jedi Council Chambers Saturday, July 7, 2012, 01:16 UTC
