Another wiki
dear master jonathan im clone master 10 and i have started a wiki and have tried to work on it but im afraid im inexprience i was wondering if you and the adminisator board could help me
thank you —Unsigned comment by Clonemaster10 (talk • contribs)
- Sorry, but I don't have the time to devote to another wiki. Also, I'm not an administrator and therefore can't speak for them, but please be aware that spamming talk pages to ask for help for another wiki is frowned upon on Wookieepedia. That said, good luck with your wiki. Master Jonathan — Jedi Council Chambers Tuesday, November 8, 2011, 17:30 UTC
GAN
Just a small bump about the updates to the article I submitted for Dilonexa. I do hope I finally have covered what needs to be covered. -- Riffsyphon1024 08:10, November 10, 2011 (UTC)
- I struck my objections several days ago, and I'm not in a detailed reviewing mood, so I'm done with the article. You need to ping Exiledjedi to get his input, as he still hasn't struck his objection. :) Master Jonathan — Jedi Council Chambers Thursday, November 10, 2011, 18:22 UTC

Lanvarok
Hey MJ,
Happy Holidays, I hope all is well with you and your family. When you find time, can you please go through lanvarok. Same terms as always, thanks in advance.—Tommy 9281 Friday, December 2, 2011, 01:44 UTC
- You slapped the Inuse tag on Lanvarok right before I was about to upload and add a couple audio files/quotes to the article at Tommy's request. Do you mind if I add them real quick before you start your copyedit? - JMAS 20px Hey, it's me! 02:40, December 2, 2011 (UTC)

- (To Tommy) Done, but I have a couple issues:
Under "Usage": "and were compelled to Force-guided hurls of its discs." This doesn't sound right to me, perhaps the cause of having a noun phrase after "compelled to" instead of a verb, which seems awkward. Is there a missing word here?- Addressed.
In the BTS: "in The Dark Side Sourcebook, with both Sith used interchangeably to describe both versions." Both "Sith" and what else?- Addressed.
You have a redlinked category; Category:Massassi weapons does not exist.- Addressed.
- Otherwise, it looks good to me. I put the quotes and audio files back in. Let me know if you have any questions. Master Jonathan — Jedi Council Chambers Friday, December 2, 2011, 03:29 UTC
The Final Battle
Hello there,
if you have a chance, would you be willing to give Naboo Space Battle a look-through before I nom it? Thanks. Corellian Premier20pxAll along the watchtower 18:24, December 2, 2011 (UTC)
- Done, but please be aware you have several issues to take care of before it's ready to be nominated:
- I added two redlinks in the intro; both need to be filled in.
- There is also a redlinked Insider article in the "Sources" section; as that is technically in a template, it must also be filled in.
- There is now a {{Fact}} tag in the BTS; please source that statement. Tm_T archived some stuff off the forums before they were shut down, so ask him if you need to.
- Your CCG card listings in the "Sources" section are broken; the template uses
|link=, not|url=, and furthermore requires that a link be given in order for the card name to display. - Here's the biggest issue: You list a total of 77 appearances and sources, yet you only have 8 unique references. This article is not complete. Before you even think about nominating this thing, you need to thoroughly check each and every item listed for information. Right off the bat, I can see that the article needs a detailed non-canon history subsection in the BTS, and that's just the tip of the iceberg. Please make sure you have checked everything before you nominate it.
- Let me know if you have any questions. Master Jonathan — Jedi Council Chambers Friday, December 2, 2011, 22:29 UTC
- Excellent, thank you. Corellian Premier20pxAll along the watchtower 23:00, December 2, 2011 (UTC)
Editing Article CT-7567
Hey Jonathan!
I'm sorry for my misguided edit on Rex's page. I'm new here, but it seemed to me that the top of the article should be reserved for "summary" information, not a sketchy and incomplete bio (which also duplicates the more complete biography immediately below the fold). If I were to expand the summary information, would removing that old "mini-bio" be a problem?
Thanks! --Sachariah 03:27, December 8, 2011 (UTC)
- On characters, the "summary" (commonly referred to as the "intro") is typically merely a summary of the biography section, sometimes with one paragraph on personality or skills if those are especially notable. The best thing to do here would be to replace the two paragraphs that make up that incomplete mini-bio with two better paragraphs that summarize the whole bio, which would mean cutting out some of the less important stuff currently there to make room for other stuff. I would recommend taking a look at some of our featured articles on characters to get an idea of what generally goes into a character article intro. :) Master Jonathan — Jedi Council Chambers Thursday, December 8, 2011, 03:33 UTC
Hello
Explain to me how I did not give a source for Jediism. If you just clicked on my wikipedia link, you would realise that it has been established. Plus, it's my religion, so I think I know what I'm talking about. Would you like the link to their site?24.193.147.106 00:24, December 21, 2011 (UTC)
- The article needs reliable sources. Wikipedia is not reliable because anyone can add anything they want to it. The official website is also not reliable because they can make whatever claims they want and we don't know if they're true. Give me some reliable sources independent of the subject, and I'll allow that tag to be removed. However, as it's an article on a fan subject, you also need to show how it's notable according to the requirements at WP:NFP. Specifically, you need to show with reliable sources how it meets one of the recognition requirements shown in the policy I just linked (the content criterion probably doesn't apply here because it's not a fan website), otherwise it will still be deleted as non-notable. Master Jonathan — Jedi Council Chambers Wednesday, December 21, 2011, 00:32 UTC
- I'm trying to add links to the Jediism article, but this wiki won't let me. AHH FRUSTRATED.ITS UNDER REFRENCES ON JEDIISM'S WIKIPEDIA PAGE. i can t even post the links here!!!!24.193.147.106 01:07, December 21, 2011 (UTC)
- Sorry, I forgot about the fact that we have a filter set up to prevent anonymous and new users from adding external links. You'll have to replace "http" at the beginning of the link with "hxxp" to bypass the filter. An established user can then change them into functioning links. Master Jonathan — Jedi Council Chambers Wednesday, December 21, 2011, 01:18 UTC
- Alright, thanks. Check out my link. You'll see it's legit. If you find it to be inadequate, I have others.24.193.147.106 01:35, December 21, 2011 (UTC)
- That's sufficient to remove the verify tag, but I've now tagged it with {{Notability}}. This is because the article doesn't currently show how it is notable. You need to show how it meets one of the recognition requirements listed at WP:NFP (the "content" requirement is irrelevant here). The best way to do this would be to add as many links and as much content as you can to give us as much information as possible to determine its notability. Master Jonathan — Jedi Council Chambers Wednesday, December 21, 2011, 01:46 UTC
- Check it out now. I gave links. The Jedi religion has appeared in newspapers thrice.24.193.147.106 02:20, December 21, 2011 (UTC)
- I removed the Parliament deliberations, as the context makes it appear as though they're discussion the Jedi census phenomenon, not this. However, the other two newspaper articles you added appear to me to be sufficient to pass the mainstream recognition requirement of the notability policy, so I removed the {{Notability}} tag. Mister/Miss Star Wars
Hey Jonathan. Just wanted to remind you that you can edit the entire page and enter your votes as you see them, instead of each individual section, so as to not clog up RC. Thanks. :) -- Riffsyphon1024 01:02, December 23, 2011 (UTC)
- I know, and I did that during my first round of voting the day the pages were put up, but with a lot more votes on the page now, it's easier to find the ones I'm looking for by going through the page and clicking on each section individually. Also, either my browser or my JavaScript editor doesn't like having large amounts of text in the edit box at once, and what fun is a brand-spanking-new randomized signature if 50 signatures on the page look identical? ;) Master Jonathan (Training Room) Friday, December 23, 2011, 01:08 UTC
- Alright, whatever you say, man. :P -- Riffsyphon1024 01:10, December 23, 2011 (UTC)
- At any rate, now that every nominee on both pages has at least one vote, I'm done. —MJ— Training Room Friday, December 23, 2011, 01:13 UTC
External links
Hey, master johnatahn, I put links to pages that were deemed needing vertification. Can you ceck these links and make them official. The pages are Darth Achelon, Ambidexterity and Corrupted Snake. Thanks!24.193.145.164 16:51, December 27, 2011 (UTC)
- All of the links have been removed as they are not valid sources and not appropriate for the External links section. For sources, please read Wookieepedia:Canon policy to see what is and isn't acceptable. For external links, those are generally reserved for our Official Friends with few exceptions. Master Jonathan Jedi Council Chambers Tuesday, December 27, 2011, 17:58 UTC
- Okay, but Darth Achelon is canon, ambidexterity is mentioned several times, and the sith compendium talks about corrupted snakes. Why do these pages have the verify tag.24.193.145.164 18:02, December 27, 2011 (UTC)
- They don't. They have the {{Confirm}} tag, which is merely a request for someone else to independently confirm what's said in the article by checking the listed source(s). {{Confirm}} is not a deletion tag, so the articles are not at risk of being deleted. The confirm tag will simply stay there until someone else checks the source and confirms what you wrote. —MJ— Council Chambers Tuesday, December 27, 2011, 18:10 UTC

Jedi Apprentice
Hi, Jon. I finally found some time to work at a couple of articles from the Jedi Apprentice series. However, as I only own the German version of the novels, I would need someone who could give me the quotes regarding the characters Aalto, Bier, Docent Vant and the Hutt that Qui-Gon Jinn mind tricked on Bandomeer from Jedi Apprentice: The Rising Force and Jedi Apprentice: The Dark Rival. Could you possibly give those quotes to me? Anyway, thanks for your time. —Unsigned comment by Clone Commander Lee (talk • contribs) 21:24, January 1, 2012 (UTC)
- "Always knew he wouldn't make it."
- ―Aalto, commenting on Obi-Wan Kenobi being sent to the AgriCorps
- Vant: "Here now, it isn't that horrible."
- Kenobi: "But I don't understand. I still have four weeks until my birthday."
- Vant: "I know. But you ship, the Monument, leaves tomorrow, with a thousand miners aboard. It can't wait just because you have a birthday."
- Kenobi: "I could still be a Jedi Knight."
- Vant: "Not everyone is meant to be a warrior. The Republic needs healers and farmers, too. With your Force skills, you will be able to treat sick crops. Your talent will help feed whole worlds."
- Kenobi: "But— It's a job for rejects, initiates too weak to be Knights. Besides, tomorrow Qui-Gon Jinn will be looking for a Padawan. Master Yoda said that I should fight for him."
- Vant: "That was before the Masters heard of the beating you gave to initiate Bruck. Did you really think that the healers would not tell what you had done? This is not the first time that you have let your anger get the best of you. But let us hope that it is the last. Now try not to look so sad. You will need to pack your bags and say goodbye to your friends tonight. The galaxy is a big place. They will want to see you before you go."
- ―Docent Vant, informing Obi-Wan Kenobi that he has been assigned to the AgriCorps[src]
- "Last week Bier's warning timer went dead because of the high ionite concentration. He was in an aquasuit, out mapping the sea floor. Ran out of oxygen and didn't make it back to the tunnel."
- ―Unidentified miner, giving an example of the dangers of ionite
- Jinn: "I have come to see Xanatos."
- Hutt: "Move, wretch. Take your petty complaints to your immediate supervisor. There's no one here anyway. Xanatos is on an exploration trip to the northern mine quadrant."
- Jinn: "Perhaps I should wait in his private office."
- Hutt: "You should wait in his private office. Take the restricted lift tube to Horizon Thirty."
- Jinn: "Security controls should be lifted."
- Hutt: "All security controls shall be lifted."
- ―Qui-Gon Jinn, mind-tricking a Hutt[src]
- I believe those are it. Let me know if you have any questions. Master Jonathan Training Room Sunday, January 1, 2012, 22:49 UTC
- Thanks a lot. Two final questions. The CSWE says that "Docent" is Vant's first name, while the novel (at least the German) version, the novel's own glossary state that "Docent" is a title. Any ideas? Also, is there any mention about Aalto's species in the novel. Currently it is given as "Human" in his article here and sourced to the book. Any mention of that in the English version. Clone Commander Lee Talk 12:05, January 2, 2012 (UTC)
- The English version gives no indication of Aalto's species, so that's likely fanon. As to Vant, the CSWE sometimes uses ranks and titles in entry names, so it's impossible to tell from either the entry or the English book whether Docent is a title or a first name. If the German version clearly indicates that it's a title, then I would recommend moving the article to Vant and giving an explicit explanation in either the BTS or a reference. Master Jonathan Holocomm Monday, January 2, 2012, 18:14 UTC
- Thanks for the quick reply. A rough translation of the novel and it's glossay would be "Vant, one of the many docents at the Jedi Temple". Whatever, thanks a lot for your help. Clone Commander Lee Talk 18:26, January 2, 2012 (UTC)
- No problem. That does seem plenty clear enough to warrant a move, so that's what I would recommend. Let me know if you need anything else. Master Jonathan Jedi Council Chambers Monday, January 2, 2012, 18:29 UTC
