Style and Tense

  • On Star Wars Wiki, in-universe articles should always be written in past tense. Check out the Manual of Style for some other stylistic guidelines. Also, it's important to list some sources or appearances for each article, so that we know it's not just something you made up. We've had problems with that before.-LtNOWIS 22:43, 14 Dec 2005 (UTC)

Thanks!

Hey, I've noticed you've been correcting a few of my spelling errors. I'm usually pretty good with that, but a few have slipped past me. lol

thanks again

Sources

  • When adding new articles, please always include an ==Appearances== and/or ==Sources== section, per the Layout Guide, otherwise people will have to come in behind you and either add a {{Sources}} template or take time to look up the item themselves, thus preventing them from doing something more productive. —Darth Culator (talk) 16:14, 2 Jan 2006 (UTC)
  • What if I got the info from the page that links to the page I edited? Jamie550 15:30, 3 Jan 2006 (UTC)
    • Answering your question late: you can quote the sources and appearances given in that article, if you're certain that those sources contain information on the subject (or that the subject appears in that story.) It is a bad idea, however, to make articles unless you yourself have information from at least one of the primary sources. — Silly Dan 03:44, 26 January 2006 (UTC)
