Hey, Chewdup! Thanks for being civil about this! (Most people tend to start edit wars)... Anyway, to paraphrase Pablo Hidalgo, the science of the Star Wars universe doesn't necessarily reflect the science of ours. Therefore, the definition of "insect" may not be the same within the context of Star Wars. So, like you said, unless a source explicitly states a species to be insectoid, we can't add it to articles such as Gand, etc. As far as Sugi, I don't recall if Tarkin states their class or not, so I'm going to leave that until I'm sure.
