  • Your work on the Grand Admirals is great. Every time I used to read them I wanted them to be better, but I have none of the sources, or the committment you obviously possess. Looking forward to seeing them as FAs, no doubt. Harrar 20:51, 3 December 2007 (UTC)

RE:Bane image

Unfortunately its near impossible to find a decent image of Bane, if he doesnt look like a clown he looks like a mime artist, and if he doesnt look like a mime artist he looks like a football holligan. Im sorry about changing it without asking, i didnt realise it wasnt allowed. I think I will start up a vote though, as I do feel this one is the best option. - Thomas Faye 17:39, 21 November 2007 (UTC)

Source of standard years values at many planets

They are calculated. I calculate number of hours of year with multiplication of local-day-length with number-of-days-in-year and then divide by 24 (standard day length in hours). Then I round the result. Methyl Orange 18:19, 23 November 2007 (UTC)

What kind of stuff do you want to know? I'll put here all the text in it, if that's what you want.

On Wookiee attire:

"The Wookiees were the first things that we started on for Episode III, but were nearly the last things to be filmed. As a whole army was needed but there were only eight Wookiee suits, we made all of the costume prop items interchangeable."

It comes from Dark Lords of the Sith calling him the president of the Jedi assemblies and holding that position for the past six centuries. That's obviously a reference to him being the Jedi leader which we now know was the Grand Master. Kuralyov 03:23, 28 November 2007 (UTC)

Re: User talk:Swg66

Acky, my friend, I really wish you'd attempt to be more diplomatic in your approach sometimes. While civility is only a proposed concept on Wookieepedia (as opposed to most of the rest of Wikia), it would certainly serve your best interests, and the interests of the site itself. to practice it where possible. In place of your message, I would have explained briefly that any suggestion of Plo Koon's survival is pure fanon at this point in time. Graestan(Talk) 22:57, 19 January 2008 (UTC)

On plo koons death

Sorry if you got the wrong impression on what i ment to say in the artical, i was just saying that he was never confirmed dead, but never said he was still alive, i put he is belived dead simply because that is what it say in "the essenttial guide to the force" and the fact that on starwars.com it only say he crashed but never says he died. Sullustan Resistance movement

Over two years ago, you created the article Sullustan resistance movement without listing any sources. Since then, people have listed several, but some of the info you added is not included in those sources. Anyway, I was wondering if you could remember if there were any sources for it other than those listed. I know it was a long time ago, so no worries if you can't remember. Cheers, -- AdmirableAckbar (Talk) 20:35, 22 January 2008 (UTC)

  • I'm sorry, I cannot remember right now the sources I used back then. The style reminded me of what I use to write when researching RPG books and I thought The Movie Trilogy Sourcebook, but I double-checked it and confirmed that it was not the source I used. I will try to find time and research some other books I've had since at least January 2006, but now I'm quite more busy than I was then; maybe it could take some time. Thank you, Skippy Farlstendoiro 08:00, 25 January 2008 (UTC)
    • Could it be the Star Wars Sourcebook? Sin Suub's article has much of the same info as the Resistance movement page, and its listed as one of his sources. Thanks, -- AdmirableAckbar (Talk) 09:08, 25 January 2008 (UTC)
      • That is one of the books I've had for a long time. It might be one of the sources - probably not the only one I've used for the SRM. Unfortunately, I still cannot confirm it.---Skippy Farlstendoiro 09:42, 25 January 2008 (UTC)

SWE Ibtisam entry

The following is the verbatim entry from SWE, spelling errors aside:

"A female Mon Calamari member of Rogue Squadron, she had previously been recruited into one of the first B-wing squadrons. Ibtisam was at the Battle of Endor and survived despite being blasted out of her fighter and set adrift in space for twelve hours. She is somewhat agoraphobic because of that experience, but the confines of a ship are enough to temper the problem. Ibtisam took a four-month psych leave after the battle, and when she returned she was assigned to Rogue Squadron because it needed pilots. Ibtisam is somewhat haughty and arrogant, and she is especially disdainful of Nrin Vakil, a Quarren in the squadron. She feels a secret attraction to him and is repulsed by him at the same time, because he is Quarren and she is Mon Cal. She is also disappointed at being assigned to fly an X-wing, believing it far inferior to the B-wing. After several scrapes, she has grudgingly come to accept that the X-wing hasn't outlived its usefulness." Toprawa and Ralltiir 23:37, 13 February 2008 (UTC)

B'omarr Order

Hey. The Fact Files had an article on the B'omarr Order's spider droids which I see hasn't been listed as a source on this FA. You should try and get a scan of it from Jaymach... EDIT: And I'm a bit surprised that many of the reffed sources are not actually listed directly in the sources section. Is there a reason for this? Re: Flow-walking

Hi Acky,

I would like to help, and will have a look at The Joiner King, Bloodlines, Legacy of the Force: Inferno as well as Legacy of the Force: Fury, in which it is used in the first three and only mentioned in the last. However I don't have my copy of Revelation yet, and wish to remain unspoiled, so hopefully there isn't any gold-nugget info in that. I think the only really pertinent and valuable information is in TJK, so I will, however, have a look at adding that perhaps Saturday afternoon.

When do your exams finish? I'm looking forward to an (if possible) even higher number of FA noms! Mine are in early to mid-late May, but after them I'm literally going to FA as many NJO articles as possible :P.

Sourcing

Hey, Acky. I know that you took Battle of Coruscant (Great Hyperspace War) to GA status, so I was hoping that you could source the infobox for it using the same ref style that you originally used. Thanks, Greyman(Talk) 16:01, 7 March 2008 (UTC)

Loor and Isard pic

Hey man. Thanks for the props on Thyne and Derricote. As for your question, to be honest, I found the Isard and Loor pic during a Google search, but the "X-Wing: Rogue Squadron Sourcebook" was specifically sourced where I found it, and so I believed it fell into the generic public use category as long as I credited it as well. I hope that's acceptable, but if it isn't, let me know and I'll take care of it. --Colinmcev 17:33, 8 March 2008 (UTC)

Vaklu

May I ask why you have reverted my edits to the Vaklu article? I see no problem with information.--Vaklu 17:29, 9 March 2008 (UTC)
Well despite the fact that none of it was speculation (albiet the last sentence was a little speculative), I can see how unknown fate paragraphs could be disliked by some. Still, I think it is kind of sloppy to leave a loose end. After all, is saying that he may or may not have escaped an unknown fate statement? Nevertheless, I'll leave the passage out.--Vaklu 17:40, 9 March 2008 (UTC)

Gar Stazi as a GA

Hey AdmirableAckbar. I am still working on getting the Gar Stazi article to GA status. If you have any other advice on how to get the article to this status, please let me know. I hope to have this article approved some time this week. AdmiralNick22 00:59, 10 March 2008 (UTC)

  • I have edited the P&T picture, as well as lengthened the intro. As for the length of the body, it is already longer than many GA articles. Furthermore, as Stazi appears in more issues (like this Wednesday's Legacy #21) I will be able to expand other sections, like the one on the battle of Mon Calamari. In fact, seeing as the entire issue is about that battle, I should be able to lengthen the article by a few paragraphs. Furthermore, it has more flashbacks to Caamas, so I will be able to elaborate more on Stazi's role there as well. AdmiralNick22 01:07, 11 March 2008 (UTC)
    • based on your advice, I extended the "Meeting on the Wheel" section by several paragraphs, explaining in greater detail why Corde and Tolin were on the Wheel in the first place. Furthermore, I extended the P&T section. Let me know what you think. Also- if you have a chance to upload any Stazi images, please let me know. I don't have a scanner, so I can't copy anything from my comics. Thanks for your help! AdmiralNick22 19:52, 11 March 2008 (UTC)
      • If you think the article is worth it, please vote for the article. We (you, Topwara, Chack, etc) have put alot of work into it and it deserves GA status. We just need three more votes. AdmiralNick22 02:37, 19 March 2008 (UTC)

Yes, i did not mean to move my user talk but i got confused trying to change the title. Yes thank you. The reasons I put the articles on the sub-pages is because I think those characters are really amazing and that they are a big part6 of the Star Wars universe (At least to me)

Would you like to start working on Jorj Car'das in the next few days? Are your exams over? Happy (late) St. Patrick's Day, BTW. Chack Jadson (Talk) 20:05, 18 March 2008 (UTC)

  • Saturday's good. I personally think the article is fairly close to FA status now, and working together we should be able to get it featured. Do you have any preference on how you want to divide it up? I don't care; if you don't either we could each add stuff from different books or just add stuff together (both add info from, say, Outbound Flight) and make our additions flow. Chack Jadson (Talk) 20:20, 18 March 2008 (UTC)

Re:Moving pages

Actually, Onderon Civil War does have a conjectural title tag. I was simply making Onderon a proper adjective. Also, with the moving of War droid-series, the hyphen was in the wrong place, otherwise, I wouldn't have moved the page, especially if it had a canonical name. Although, I appreciate the reminder, I know moving pages probably makes people here uncomfortable, especially consecutive moves. Also on a side note, False Batu Rem is not a conjectural title, he is mentioned as such in the game (both in dialogue and in the Journal). It's just a nickname.--Vaklu 19:38, 21 March 2008 (UTC)

Jedi prince

A modest proposal

I'm not supposed to be here! I'm on a revision break! But I get drawn in every now and again. And in between regarding your continuous FA noms with incredulous awe, I couldn't help but notice how emaciated and feeble Kyp's article is. Due to my limited self-restraint, I won't be doing any major edits for another two months, but I'm distracted enough to think of such distant immersions on the edit page.

So, calling in my Aing-Tii favour, in the manner of Jorj (who I gather you are even now writing) ;), can you consider whether or not you'd like to co-FA Kyp (from 22nd May May to early June)? I have all the books he's in, but none of the comics, and no The Apprentice or YJK ones. Only consider it—if it holds no interest, don't worry—I shall not be offended.

In the meantime, you're very lucky your exams are over, and keep up the great improvements to the Wook!

Harrar 20:34, 26 March 2008 (UTC)

  • No worries! I should've been less narrow-minded than to think that everyone's read the JAT. Well, from what I can discern we have rather different collections. What we do seem to have in common, is material pertaining to this guy, so, although I won't make any definite overtures, maybe it's worth keeping that in mind ;). He'd be one heck of an FA. See you around, Acks. Harrar 21:11, 26 March 2008 (UTC)

Revert?

Why did you remove the Xenophobic category from the Selkath article. As a species that views themselves as inherently superior, I would think that such an opinion would require one to conclude that the species was xenophobic.--Vaklu 00:38, 29 March 2008 (UTC)

  • I urge you to reconsider. Most of their statements scream "we don't trust off-worlders" and "we think we're better". I mean, if you're on the dark side and poison the Progenitor, the judges say "we must not lose control, we are not like offworlders" (or something to that extent). There are numerous other examples.--Vaklu 00:50, 29 March 2008 (UTC)
    • I can't say I see the difference, but it seems I have been outnumbered.--Vaklu 11:47, 29 March 2008 (UTC)
