Clone commander moves

Where your recent moves of some clone commanders to "CC-#" based on new canon information? If so, where did it appear? --SparqMan 20:47, 6 Jan 2006 (UTC)

  • Clone Commander 5052, 1138, 4477, etc. This is the proper designation when referring to a clone commander's numerical designation. Same as referring to clone troopers as CT-43/76-9155 or CT-55/11-9009 when it's in reference to their numerical designations. Same with the ARCs. A-98. And the Republic commandos. RC-1207. The A stands for Alpha. The RC stands for Republic commando. The CT stands for clone trooper. The CC stands for clone commander. It's widely accepted, both here and other places (TF.N), as the proper designation. The idea to change it hit me when I was flipping through the RotS visual dictionary, which includes the sentence, "Thus, CC 2224 came to be called Cody; 1004, Gree; and 1138, Bacara." -- AdmThrawn 21:01, 6 Jan 2006 (UTC) --
    • I'm familiar with canon examples. I was asking if we have seen, for certain, that Gree, for example, was CC-1004. Just trying to determine in each instance if it is fan extrapolation or canon. --SparqMan 21:51, 6 Jan 2006 (UTC)
      • None of the clone commanders, save one or two, have been seen or mentioned outside of the film itself. Thus, there aren't a whole lot of sources to go off of. As far as I know, only Cmdr. Appo has appeared in any EU material (Dark Lord). Once more, even if Cody or Neyo did appear in any upcoming novels or comics, they wouldn't be referred to by their numerical designation. --AdmThrawn 22:08, 6 Jan 2006 (UTC)
