Fanon

  • I think the fanon Jaymach was referring to was this, where you added information and a picture to Mediator-class Battle Cruiser. I assume the picture and the information did not come from an officially-licensed Star Wars source. You must always double-check any information you get from a website before adding it to Wookieepedia, to make sure it comes from an official source, rather than simply being invented by the webmaster. (There are a few very reliable fan sites which you could use to confirm minor details, like Star Wars Timeline Gold or CUSWE, but sites for video games or role-playing games quite often invent information for the purposes of game play without making it clear to casual browsers that they invented details.) Userpage copyvio

Just so you know, Jack Nebulax isn't an administrator, he's more of a power user. While he is regularly available and quite helpful, only people in the administrator category have superpowers like deletion and banning.
And all the original content on Wookieepedia (basically everything that isn't directly copied from a Lucasfilm-licensed source) is under the GFDL, as stated directly under the edit box. So Anakin Thomas hasn't done anything illegal, even if it is impolite. We can't really force people to change their userpages unless they violate some other rule like obscenity or impersonation. Since it is bad etiquette I left Anakin Thomas a note about it, but I can't ban him or delete it or anything more proactive. -- Darth Culator 15:51, 21 June 2006 (UTC)

Romania: a place full of Star Wars fans

Heh, maybe you're right. 50% of all Romanians I have known personally were Star Wars fans (and girls too, so that's even more special given that most Star Wars fans are normaly boys). That's great statistics... but then again, I've only known four Romanians, so maybe it's not a great basis to make demographic conclusions on anyway. But if Romania's such a wonderful place for Star Wars fans, maybe I should go there once. ;-) KEJ 12:36, 17 July 2006 (UTC)
