Knajo Coupl was a human/Twi'lek hybrid male military officer and pilot who served the Alliance to Restore the Republic, the New Republic and, later, the Resistance during its conflict with the First Order. His father's side of the family was from Corellia, while his mother's side hailed from Ghorman. Growing up, Coupl would visit both worlds, As an adult he would join the Rebel Alliance Intelligence Service, then their Starfighter Corps. After the formation of the New Republic, he joined their Defence Fleet's Starfighter Corps. Later on Coupl would join the Resistance against the First Order, and later, the Final Order helping to bring peace and justice to the galaxy once more.
Knajo was born one year before the Clone Wars began on the shipyard world of Corellia, his fathers homeworld. Both of his parents served the Galactic Republic as an officer on a Venator-class cruiser and a representative in the Galactic Senate respectively. At the end of the war, his father found other work on Coruscant while his mother retired from the new Imperial Senate, though they eventually fled the planet. In time, the two joined the Massassi Group, becoming important members of the cell, Knoajo humself joining when he came of age. His father died on a mission for the cell and his mother died during the Ghorman Massacre trying to help her people. When the Rebel Alliance was finally formed during Mon Mothma's speech on the Ghost above Dantooine, the Alliance was the only family he had left- becoming a spy and later, a pilot. Coupl fought in many battles with the Alliance, including the Battle of Hoth, Endor and Jakku.
Twenty three years after the Battle of Jakku, Knajo left the New Republic, joining General Leia Organa's Resistance against the growing threat of the First Order that the former didn't seem was a real threat. A few years later, Coupl found out about the destruction of the Hosnian System by the Order's new superweapon, Starkiller Base. Immediately after, he flew alongside pilot Poe Dameron in the Battle of Takodana to help Rey, Finn, BB-8, Han Solo, and Chewbacca, though Rey was kidnapped by Kylo Ren, who was actually Han's son Ben. Later, he flew during the battle to destroy the superweapon while Solo, Chewbacca, and Finn rescued Rey. Knajo survived the battle (though Han was killed by Ren) and was promoted to Major. He and the rest of the Resistance bid farewell to Rey, Chewbacca, and R2-D2 as they left to find Luke Skywalker in hopes he would help them in their cause.
Soon after, the Resistance evacuated their base on D'Qar. The First Order managed to destroy several ships, but their Dreadnought was destroyed by the last bomber, letting the Resistance escape. While in space, the Order's flagship, the Supremacy, managed to find them and destroy three of their remaining ships and damage the main bridge of the Raddus, killing everyone on it, except General Organa who using the Force, was the only survivor though was temporarily incapacitated. Vice Admiral Holdo then took charge, but Poe Dameron, who had no faith in her leadership, led a mutiny against her. Coupl took part in this, assisting Poe aboard the remaining bridge.
Once Organa woke up, she neutralized Dameron and led an evacuation to the planet Crait, which was revealed to be the plan all along, while Holdo flew the Raddus right through the Supremacy by going to lightspeed, destroying the star destroyer. Several transport pods were destroyed during the escape. Once on Crait, they used what resources they had left to fight against First Order walkers and destroy their battering cannon. During the battle, Luke Skywalker appeared via a Force projection to confront now Supreme Leader Kylo Ren giving the others a chance to escape. In the aftermath, Skywalker became one with the Force and the few remaining members of the Resistance escaped aboard the Millennium Falcon with help from Rey, Chewbacca, and R2-D2 shaken, but with a newfound sense of hope. Coupl was finally able to mourn his parents, but vowed to stop the First Order and make them proud.
Eight months later, Knajo, now a Colonel, was with the Resistance was on their new base on Ajan Kloss when word broke out through a First Order spy that Emperor Sheev Palpatine was somehow alive on the Sith world of Exegol, with a large fleet of planet-killing star destroyers. Rey, Finn, Poe, Chewbacca, and BB-8 left to find clues that would lead them to the planet. During this time Knajo was realizing something was different about him, experiencing dreams and feelings. He was present to bid farewell to General Organa who had died trying to contact her son through the Force one last time in an attempt to save him. He later flew to Exegol and fought in the final battle against Palpatine and his Final Order. Just when the fight seemed lost, a large fleet of ships led by Lando Calrissian and Chewbacca, came and turned the tide. Rey was able to defeat Palpatine (who was actually her grandfather) and his loyalists while the fleet destroyed the star destroyers, ending the war. News also broke out that there were rebellions sparking across the galaxy.
Coupl celebrated back at the base, knowing the galaxy would finally be free. He also decided to now follow in his mother's footsteps as a diplomat after so many decades of fighting.
