The upper sprawl was a sprawling area of the city of Mos Espa on the desert Outer Rim planet Tatooine. Following the death of Jabba Desilijic Tiure, his majordomo Bib Fortuna assumed the title of lord and took control of Jabba's criminal empire. To maintain control, Fortuna divided Mos Espa into three families, with the Klatooinian family controlling the upper sprawl and spaceport.[1]

"World Building" notes that Watto's junkshop and Mos Espa Grand Arena were presumably part of the upper sprawl.[2]
