An untitled Boba Fett novel was supposed to be written by Karen Traviss[1] for release in 2011.[3] It was to be set after the Star Wars: Legacy of the Force series and to contain some flashbacks into Boba Fett's past.[2] However, after Traviss's unforeseen departure from Star Wars after Imperial Commando: 501st,[4] the book was canceled.[5] Traviss later stated in an interview that the reason the Boba Fett book was canceled was because of an issue involving the unproduced Star Wars live-action TV series.[6]

On August 24, 2017, however, Traviss revealed in her Twitter account that she never pitched any exact story for the novel and that the cancellation happened before she could ever write a draft for the book's story.[7]
