Unigard Lom was a xenobiologist and professor at the University of Sanbra. This scientist was placed in charge of the research into the subject of a unicellular species discovered on the planetoid PDC3141-02. When the Republic halted the Trade Federation's dumping of radioactive material on the planetoid, Lott Dod, senator of the Trade Federation, protested. Lom defended the Republic's position.
