A weapons smuggling ring was active in the Anoat sector[1] of the Outer Rim Territories[2] during the reign of the Galactic Empire. The smugglers stole disruptor rifles and reconfigured them before providing the weapons to several criminal syndicates in the sector.[1] In 3 ABY,[3] the Imperial Security Bureau arrested five members of the smuggling ring, with the arrests then covered in a HoloNet News broadcast by reporter Dorna Parros.[1]
