A town was located on the moon of the Inner Rim planet Pijal during the Republic Era.[1] By 40 BBY,[2] the Pijali monarchy had ceded control over the Pijal system's penal system to the Czerka Corporation, a company conducting extensive mining on the moon. At some point afterward, Czerka began enslaving Pijali citizens living in the town as punishment for both major and minor infractions and transporting them to a nearby Czerka facility.[1]

That year,[2] jewel thieves Pax Maripher and Rahara Wick watched a new group of enslaved workers arrive at the facility, with the latter assuming they must have been from the town. Wick suggested to her partner that they travel to the settlement to learn more about Czerka's practices there, though the pair eventually decided not to.[1]

Behind the scenes

The town was mentioned in Master & Apprentice, a 2019 novel written by Claudia Gray.[1]
