"Wherever we are, we're a long way from home. I've never seen anything like that from any of the Outer Rim worlds I've been to."

Jorj Car'das took note of the star cluster after the Bargain Hunter's arrival in the Unknown Regions.

A small but brilliant globular star cluster was visible from a star system that was situated in the Unknown Regions, around 250 light-years from that territory's border with Wild Space.[1] In 27 BBY,[2] when the light freighter Bargain Hunter arrived in the star system after a blind hyperspace jump from the Outer Rim Territories, the relatively inexperienced navigator Jorj Car'das noted that he had not seen any similar star clusters from the Outer Rim worlds he had visited. When the freighter's captain, Dubrak Qennto, returned to the bridge after shutting down the starship's malfunctioning hyperdrive, he also noted the cluster, characterizing it as "nice."[1]

Behind the scenes

The star cluster appeared in the 2006 novel Outbound Flight by Timothy Zahn.[1]
