"The droid was sent to Vassek based on intel from a captured smuggler. It scanned a settlement on the planet for six weeks, recording conversations between local farmers."
―Viper 058-V-2353's report[1]

A smuggler was active in the galaxy during the Imperial Era.[1] At some point by 3 ABY,[2] they learned of some information about anti-Imperial plots on the planet Vassek. The smuggler was later captured by the Empire, leading to the viper probe droid Viper 058-V-2353 being dispatched to investigate the intel they gave up. The probe droid eventually discovered the farmer Roni's plans to steal generators from the Empire, leading to the local and two of their family members being arrested. The droid then traveled to the Imperial space station Derosha Six, where a report on its activities on Vassek was kept on a datapad.[1]

This section of the article assumes 100% game completion of Star Wars Outlaws. Any alternate stories may be noted in the "Behind the scenes" section. The events in this section may or may not have been confirmed as canon.

In 3 ABY,[2] the outlaw Kay Vess infiltrated Derosha Six and read the datapad mentioning the smuggler while evading Imperial personnel.[1]

Behind the scenes

The smuggler was mentioned via datapad in the 2024 video game Star Wars Outlaws, developed by Massive Entertainment.[1]
