The Sarlacc Pit on Felucia existed during the Clone Wars. During the Third battle of Felucia, the Galactic Republic requested that a Jedi Knight collect samples of green slime dripping off the sarlaccs spines for medical technology.

Behind the scenes

The Sarlacc Pit first appeared in Star Wars: Clone Wars Adventures in the Felucia warzone. The 'Sarlacc Slime' quest requires the player to collect samples of green slime off the sarlacc's spines. If the player jumps into the sarlacc, they will mysteriously be bounced up out of the pit. This is a game mechanic so players do not have to die if they fall down into the pit.
