A strain of bioluminescent red spores was found in the main spore strata on the planet Drongar. During one night after her arrival at the Republic Mobile Surgical Unit 7[1] in 20 BBY,[2] the Mirialan Padawan Barriss Offee was surprised to see the buildings illuminated by the multiple colors from the sky. Since she was unfamiliar with Drongaran spores, Zabrak surgeon Zan Yant informed her that some strains of spores could glow in the dark. After their conversation, Offee noticed a crimson strain of spores dominating other colors, and after she left, other spore strands were overwhelmed by the red strain.[1]
