- "You'll want to get to the port tonight. Docking bay eight. There's a cargo flight waiting for you."
- ―A machine shop owner, to Soujen Vak-Nhalis
A port operated on the planet Li'eta during the Imperial Era and had at least one docking bay, docking bay eight.[1] Around 19 BBY,[2] a local machine shop owner who had formerly worked for the Confederacy of Independent Systems during the Clone Wars between it and the Galactic Republic helped former Separatist operative Soujen Vak-Nhalis secure passage off of Li'eta. She suggested that he head for the port that night for a cargo flight to pick him up from docking bay eight. However, Vak-Nhalis studied her and surmised that the woman was lying and killed her for exposing his identity. Eventually, he found his way off the planet via other means.[1]
Behind the scenes
The port was mentioned in the 2025 novel Reign of the Empire: The Mask of Fear, written by Alexander Freed as the first installment of the Star Wars: Reign of the Empire trilogy.[1]

Star Wars: Edge of the Abyss on Penguin Books' official United Kingdom website (backup link) establishes the events of Reign of the Empire: The Mask of Fear take place thirteen years before the events of Reign of the Empire: Edge of the Abyss.
Rebecca Roanhorse (@rebeccaroanhorse) on Instagram (post): "Title and updated release date of my upcoming STAR WARS novel announced at SDCC. THE EDGE OF THE ABYSS takes place a year before Andor S1." (backup link) states that Edge of the Abyss takes place a year before the events of Andor Season 1, which are set in 5 BBY per the reasoning here. Therefore, the events of Edge of the Abyss must be set in 6 BBY, and the events of The Mask of Fear in 19 BBY.
