A planet was ravaged by the Galactic Empire[1] in around 18 BBY.[2] It had settlements, cabins, buildings with basements, streets, hills, a canal, a ridge, and a pit. When the Empire assaulted the planet, Imperial soldiers cleared basements of targets, one of which had over fifty inside. As their enemies fled, Imperial squads attacked with blaster fire and flamethrowers, strafing and laying waste to the area while massacring the citizens. During the fighting, Sergeant Lear became disillusioned with the Empire, seating himself aboard a starship and shouting "make it stop" as he heard the noise of the destruction unfolding around him. Lear soon discovered a young girl hiding in a compartment onboard. He would rescue the girl and leave both the planet and his Imperial service, taking on the name Luthen Rael and naming the girl Kleya Marki. The two would go on to become revolutionaries.[1]
