An individual was the owner of the Kazerath device. At some point before the mission to Cato Neimoidia, the explorer Lor San Tekka petitioned him to allow him access to the device but the owner denied Tekka's request, preferring to keep it locked up in the Palace of Baron Paw Maccon instead. Sometime later Tekka decided to break into the palace and to examine the device, though he was arrested in the process.[1]
