A galactic talent show was broadcast during the High Republic Era. Characterized as "corny" by Jedi Padawan Reath Silas, who was generally disinterested in pop culture,[1] by 230 BBY[2] the competition hosted an attempted comeback performance by the Shani singer Crufeela, who was attempting to recover from a scandal involving endangered papdoo. Crufeela's performance of the song "Corellia for Corellians" on the show, which was witnessed by Silas, instead launched another scandal, as it was discovered that she was lying about having written the song, and had actually been lip-synching to a voice recording by a Naboo teenager who had been scammed out of her work.[1]
