An asteroid belt was located in the galaxy.^[1] At one point in 228 BBY,^[2] the human Jedi^[1] Padawan Ram Jomaram^[3] and^[1] the Alcedian Jedi youngling^[3] Kildo became trapped in the asteroid belt, where they encountered a Squall Spider^[1] cruiser of the Nihil marauder organization.^[4]

The two Jedi ultimately escaped and made their way to^[1] the Outer Rim planet^[4] Eriadu, where the Galactic Republic and Jedi Order were battling the Nihil. After saving^[1] the Jedi Knight Qort^[5] and^[1] Jedi youngling Zint,^[5] Jomaram began telling Qort about the incident in the asteroid belt, though as it was a long story,^[1] he^[3] noted he would need to tell the Jedi Knight about it at a later point.^[1]
