Unidentified Vaal creature

A species of creatures lived on the planet of Vaal. They were large, brown land-living quadrupeds with several horns, a partial exoskeleton, large fangs and spiked tails. It is unknown if they were carnivorous or herbivorous. They were hunted by the predatory hyenax.

History

Darth Vader deals the killing blow on the creature.

In 0 ABY, one member of the species was attacked by a pack of hyenax. The creature killed several of them in self-defense, but was ultimately defeated when the pack's new leader Darth Vader, who had crash-landed on Vaal shortly after the Battle of Yavin, came to their aid.
