A Rutian Twi'lek was an inhabitant of Crystal City during the Imperial Era. At some point between 19 BBY and 5 ABY, the Twi'lek was accompanied by an orange-skinned Twi'lek companion. They were present for the escaped prisoner Crux's speech to the people of the city begging for their help, explaining the giant pit outside of the city full of prisoners trapped by the Galactic Empire. The Twi'lek also watched as Crux was subsequently stunned by a stormtrooper and dragged back to the pit where he was thrown to his death. The people trapped in the pit called out to the Crystal City inhabitants and told them to "follow the light." A large crowd emerged from the city with the Twi'lek in the front carrying a lantern. The crowd was stopped by an stormtrooper commander and their troopers but pushed past them and the troopers retreated. After gazing upon the people in the pit, the inhabitants flew shuttles down the pit to rescue the prisoners, with the Twi'lek personally assiting.

Biography

A Rutian Twi'lek inhabited Crystal City[1] during the Imperial Era. At some point between 19 BBY and 5 ABY, [2] the Twi'lek was in the city accompanied by an orange-skinned Twi'lek companion. They were present when Crux—a human slave of the Galactic Empire—attempted to alert the city's inhabitants of a massive pit near the outskirts of the city. He explained how many more people were being kept after being abandoned by the Empire when they were through collecting Kyber crystals that built the city. While he was speaking however, two Imperial stormtroopers chased him as the Twi'lek observed, confused. The human was caught and stunned as a stormtrooper ordered the crowd&mdsh;including the Twi'lek to move along—to which they complied. The human dragged back to the pit and thrown in, killing him.[1]

Not giving up hope, the people within the bit called out to the inhabitants, telling them to "follow the light." Hearing their cries, the Twi'lek and many of the city's inhabitants marched to the pit, with the Twi'lek carrying a lantern in the front of the crowd. The crowd was stopped by a stormtrooper commander who threatened them, however the crowd pushed passed them and looked into the pit as the stormtroopers retreated. The Twi'lek rode in a shuttle down to the bottom of the pit to help rescue the people trapped inside and helped an elderly prisoner onto the ship before departing.[1]

Equipment

The Twi'lek wore a white gown with a light brown belt around their waist. They also wore dark brown wraps around their Lekku. When marching to the pit they carried a lantern.[1]
