- "All right, all right. Who's next?"
"I'll give it a try."
"This shouldn't take long." - ―The Trandoshan and Omega, before a game of balaans
A Trandoshan spent time in a cantina on the planet Lau, gambling against other cantina patrons in the card game balaans.[1][3]
Around 18 BBY,[4] the clones Crosshair and Omega crashed on the planet after escaping imprisonment by the Galactic Empire. In need of credits, they visited the cantina, where Omega played against the Trandoshan in multiple rounds of balaans. The Trandoshan initially underestimated Omega, but soon realized the young clone was exceptionally skilled at the game. Despite losing a hefty amount of credits, the Trandoshan continued to play in the hopes of making back the money he had lost.[1]

- ↑ Per the reasoning here, Season 2 of Star Wars: The Bad Batch takes place around 18 BBY. The tally marks made by Omega in The Bad Batch Season 3's first episode, "Confined," indicate the episode must take place at least twenty-one standard days following her capture as depicted in the Season 2 episode "Plan 99." According to
"Confined" Trivia Guide | Star Wars The Bad Batch on StarWars.com (backup link), Omega spends about 164 further days in captivity by the end of "Confined." As such, the events of Season 3 must begin around 18 BBY.
