A flight^[1] of four TIE/ln space superiority starfighters served in the Galactic Empire during the Galactic Civil War against the Alliance to Restore the Republic. During the Rescue of Princess Leia from the DS-1 Death Star Mobile Battle Station, the flight served as sentry and intercepted the Millennium Falcon as it escaped. Smuggler captain Han Solo and Luke Skywalker destroyed all four starfighters, allowing the Falcon to escape with Princess Leia Organa to the secret rebel base.^[2]
