A male guard served the smuggler gang known as the Spice Runners of Kijimi. During the Kijimi summit, in which lead Spice Runner Zeva Bliss intended to execute numerous criminal allies and enemies, the guard was stationed at the Dai Bendu monastery. The guard encountered fellow gang member Poe Dameron—who secretly intended to stop Bliss's plans and betray the Spice Runners—and requested assistance in watching their criminal prisoners. Dameron pretended to agree to help, but instead helped to overthrow the guards and free the criminals.[1]
