- "Be careful! There's a whole squad of Sith troopers on the other side of that door! You need to find some way to thin their numbers."
- ―Carth Onasi, warning Revan
A male[2] Sith commander and[4] heavy trooper was part of the group sent to board the Republic Hammerhead-class cruiser Endar Spire during the Jedi Civil War between the Sith Empire and the Galactic Republic. During the attack on the ship above the Outer Rim planet Taris[3] in 3956 BBY,[1] the commander led a squad of Sith soldiers on the starboard side of the vessel near the escape pod bay. Amnesiac Sith Lord Revan, with the memories of a Republic soldier and the assistance of Republic war hero Carth Onasi, killed the commander and their squad during[3] his[5] escape from the cruiser, shortly after which it was destroyed.[3]
The commander was a heavy Sith trooper and wore the red variant of Sith trooper armor. They were proficient with and wielded a blaster rifle, a droid-damaging Ion blaster pistol, and an upgradeable prototype vibroblade. The Sith was trained in the use of with heavier armor types, grenades, and personal heavy weapons.[3]
Behind the scenes
- "You could reprogram the damaged assault droid to help you, if you have enough repair parts. Or you could use computer spikes to slice into the terminal and use the Endar Spire's security systems against the Sith"
- ―Carth Onasi, to Revan
The Sith commander first appeared in the 2003 video game Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, developed by BioWare. They appear in a mandatory encounter within a room aboard the Endar Spire. Carth Onasi will contact Revan and advise them to defeat the commander's squad by either repairing a nearby sentinel droid or using a computer terminal to overload the room's power conduit, killing all the soldiers in the process. The player cannot access the room until one of these options are used, though repairing the battle droid allows the player to enter the room and engage in direct combat with the commander. The player may not progress the story until the soldiers have been killed.[3]
