At some point, a species of gigantic humanoids lived on Shoon, a world located in the Senex sector within the Mid Rim's Senex-Juvex region. The species built structures across their homeworld's surface.[1] By 43 ABY,[2] the humanoids had gone extinct, with the ruins of their structures left as the only testament to their former existence. Like the other worlds of the Senex-Juvex, Shoon eventually came under the control of the region's aristocratic Humanocentric Ancient Houses, which had settled the Senex-Juvex between 1000 BBY and 700 BBY and had enslaved the native alien species.[1]

The species was introduced in the 2009 reference book The Essential Atlas, authored by Daniel Wallace and Jason Fry.[1]
