- "I first tried this unusual creation at a small resort on Scarif years ago—long before the Empire made a mess of the place with that blasted Death Star of theirs."
- ―Strono Tuggs, The Life Day Cookbook
The Artiodac chef Strono Tuggs first tried the beverage known as a Scarif Slush in a small resort on the planet Scarif, long before the world was devastated by the Galactic Empire's Death Star superweapon[1] in 1 BBY.[2] At some point prior to the devastation, which caused Scarif's oceans to boil and cost the world its status as a vacation destination, the recipe for Scarif Slush was smuggled offworld, allowing Tuggs to include it, along with a mention of the resort, in his second cookbook, The Life Day Cookbook, which he released at some point after publishing his first cookbook[1] in 34 ABY.[3]
Behind the scenes
The resort was mentioned in the 2021 Star Wars: The Life Day Cookbook, a recipe book written by Jenn Fujikawa and Marc Sumerak.[1]
