"I snuck into the track last night to watch 'em set up for the Cup."
"You're lucky the Kin didn't catch you leaving the District."
"Pft. They say they're protecting us, but who's protecting us from them?"
―Rodian mechanic to human droidsmith — 20?cb=20250116042720 ▶️ (file info)[1]

A Rodian worked as a mechanic in the South Stretch Worker's District of the city Canto Bight on the Outer Rim planet Cantonica[1] in 3 ABY. That year,[2] the mechanic snuck into the Canto Casino and Racetrack to watch it get setup for the Canto Cup fathier racing tournament. The next day, during the Canto Cup, the mechanic talked with a human mechanic in the worker's district. During the conversation, the droidsmith told the mechanic that they were lucky that the local Sixth Kin gang didn't catch them leaving the district. The Rodian responded by questioning the Sixth Kin's so called protection and asking who is supposed to protect them form the gang.[1]
