During the Clone Wars, an RX-series pilot droid served the Galactic Republic. The pilot droid had its memory banks reprogrammed by the R2-series astromech droid R2-D2. Afterward, the RX unit was freed of corrupt and disorganized data and could thus run more efficiently.
