Although this article is based on official non-canon information, the actual name of this subject is pure conjecture.

This R5 unit was owned by a Jawa clan who had presumably salvaged it. The droid was defective, and despite hours of long work clan's mechanic failed to completely repair it. The frustrated Jawa angrily kicked the droid causing it to topple over. As the Jawa mechanic angrily chased away fellow clan members who had been mocking the mechanic, the droid suddenly reactivated, apparently functioning perfectly.

Later, the droid helped the Jawa mechanic repair a stolen wrecked X-wing, and also assisted the Jawa in his successful attempt at stealing a downed TIE Advanced from a trio of salvagers.

Behind the scenes

This droid only appears in the story Oh!! Jawajawa, published in Star Wars Manga: Silver issue of Tokyopop's Star Wars Manga. Originally published in Japan, those stories were considered to be of "fuzzy" continuity by Lucasfilm.[1] Since then, they have been republished in English in the United Kingdom under Infinities label, which established the material in them as non-canonical.
