Sometime before the Galactic War, a Mandalorian clan fought against twenty Jedi on Dantooine. The battle turned in the Mandalorian clan's favor only after Sith Lord Raze single-handedly engaged the Jedi in combat; though Raze would fall during this event. Moved by her bravery and combat skills, the clan honored Raze's death with a kote ky'ram, the first time such an honor was ever bestowed to an outsider.[1]
